My primary number is reliance and they do not have any pact with mtnl/bsnl for call forwarding. Last week I was in punjab for 4 days and there was no cdma network to latch on. I had called reliance customer care and they told me in advance that there wud be no network and I should forward my cdma calls to any network other than mtnl/bsnl. There was no time for me to buy another number as a result I was left with no network for 4daya. I just don't want this to repeat again. Hence the migration. -

wtf!!! RCom, however, said it will not offer 4G services to its GSM subscribers before Jio’s commercial launch. Once Jio launches its services commercially, RCom will come out with new tariff plans for bringing 4G subscribers on board, including those of its 2G and 3G subscribers who want to take advantage of the new network. In addition, for all RCom 4G subscribers, voice service will be provided by RCom’s 2G and 3G networks where available. It also clarified that it will divert MTS’ spectrum towards the combined 4G network being built with the help of Jio, implying that CDMA subscribers of MTS will also be migrated to 4G.

i have a mtnl dolphin prepaid sim (delhi) and i have generated a UPC coz i got fed up with their GSM network and no roaming agreement with Rcom. i am interested in getting into Jio network, is it possible to migrate with same number to JIO ? can anyone help me in porting in to Jio. I do not wish to purchase the lyf handset. -
i also have the 4G LTE sim but i am in no hurry to use it. will wait for things to sort out and CDMA to shut down completely. Rcom has always said wait for no network in cdma before trying the 4G sim. And people are so impatient they will try half baked things and complaint.
-
gsm network was always pathetic in reliance. buffer wud be network they add from cdma/fine tuning of existing network.once cdma is shut down thereby additionally using cdma towers for gsm will make a vast difference. we all shd see a vast improvement in network once cdma shuts down.
-
cdma network is still working in delhi. Rcom has always been saying wait for cdma services to completely shut down and then only insert GSM sim.. So its obvious that bandwidth is being divided among both cdma and gsm. so we shd all wait for a day and so and see how GSM comes up once they shut down CDMA completely.
