Spice D88 Dual Gsm/cdma Dual Handset
hritik123 replied to Genius's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
hi friend handset transfer card and RUIM is different. i suppose u have to get a RUIM and put it in the sim slot.. it may work.. costing RS.300 RUIM is a sim card which can be used on cdma phone with sim slots.. if its spice D-88 it ll work.. All the best Dear captain, my phone D88 has slot i have purchased RUIM blank card worthRs. 300 and hand set transfer card. I dialled *229 + 9digit PIN no. from old HS and *228+9 digit PIN from new HS. but still new phone not activated. The phone says ur phone cannot be activated. contact customer care. Of course CC *333 and 33333333 cant be cotacted. it is engaged due to millions complaints being recieved ot put off Well activating OTA ( Over The Air ) i.e activating by dialing *228 required SPC ( Service Programming Code ) to be match with the *228 activation portal. Means when u buy any RUIN or non-RUIM handsets form reliance, they are reliance ready i.e already programmed with reliance valid SPC. Now in case of open market handsets like D88 or X768 or Xv6700 all are RUIM compatible but not loaded with valid SPC, so u wont get OTA activation. Well u have to get any reliance ready RUIM based handset and insert ur blank RUIM in it, activate it, remove ur RUIM and insert to use it in ur open market handset. Cheers. yest. I visited again bloody webworld to activate the phone. The answers given by staff mostly girls were as follows. There cannot be two simcards in one handset! there cannot be two networks operating at one time in a HS!! I showe them two slots and printing on phone as GSM/CDMA'. also showed manual. then they were surprised. talked with some "higher official' to be called as their Sir! then announced that this phone can be only meant for internatinal roaming and cannot be operated in indian and not compatible to Reliance service!!! then I made a big TAMAaSHA there and fired them. i showed them that as the blank card shows Reliance logo , it is well recieving Reliance network how can u say . only number is not transfereed so it cannot transact.. All reliance staff unanimously announced that the phone is only useful for international roaming in other countries!!! One TAPOREE like boy was watching all this. he saw the reliance logo and said it should recieve Reliance network. he put his Reliance card in my HS and he recieved an incoming call!!! that means it was compatible and recieving reliance network. then he put my blank card there and dialled the desired codes and PINs and to our surprise it was activated. remember that boy was not reliance staff... not wearing that bloody blue T shirts with red logo!! So u can realise thetechnical knowledge of reliance staff. Meanwhile I told then if Reliance cant be used on this phone i will close connection and shift to TATA Indicom. They easily said yes you can do that. They dont bother about customers shamelessly.... Any way , both Reliance and BSNL networks are operating well and very easy to toggle and use. FANTASTIC!!!! AS usual reliance webworld a*****le staff are never updated , they must recruit us from rim to teach them some reliance stuff -

but we must commend MTNL for taking such A STEP and start such a scheme as unlimited sms and unlimited local calls to mtnl landlines, gsm and cdma at just 275/ month, Reliance is nowwhere near, even DAPO gives only 400 min free / month at 400rs/month -
great find man , hope reliance starts such schemes for high end users

RCOM to offer Yahoo Instant Messenger Mithun Roy Wednesday, January 17, 2007 22:08 IST MUMBAI: Anil Ambani controlled Reliance Communications and Yahoo India have finalised an alliance to offer Yahoo Instant Messenger for Reliance Mobile customers across the country. Highly placed sources at the company’s Ballard Estate headquarters said it was likely to make an official announcement sometime this week. The Mobile Instant Messenger offering on Reliance mobiles is Yahoo’s first Wireless Village compliant implementation in Asia. The service has been developed by ACL Wireless for Reliance and Yahoo. After SMS and MMS, one can now use mobile phones for mobile instant messaging (MIM), which offers chat instantly with anyone using cell phones similar to popular instant messengers on computers. Users can even see their friends’ online and chat in groups. Reliance Communications will be the first telecom service provider in the world to offer MIM across Java, BREW and WAP phones on a mobile operator network. Reliance Mobile customers can now chat live not only among themselves but also with any Yahoo IM user in the world using PCs. When a Reliance subscriber is not online on his mobile, he is notified by messages in his SMS inbox about new IMs received. Industry experts vouch for MIM’s rapid growth in India, due largely to the low penetration of PCs in the country. The percentage of mobile users with MIM-capable phones will grow to 62% in 2010, they say. All the other GSM operators including BSNL, MTNL, Bharti Airtel, Hutch-Essar, Idea, Aircel, Spice and BPL, are expected to commercially launch this service in the country next month. The service is already available in Europe, China and Turkey and would be launched this year in Hong Kong, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
