Do you know the catch in this offer??? NOT at all a big one for most of the people, but for me it is a deal-breaker.

The FREE add-on can be used ONLY in the phone which was used during the plan recharge. For example, you are using xiaomi RN4 and do a Rs399 recharge and will get 10GB add-on for FREE. But in case you changed the phone to other say RN5, then the addon will NOT be used at all, even though it was redeemed earlier. I have experienced this in my 4G Tab, while recharge was done on C9 pro.

As I said it is NOT a big deal for almost anyone. But for people who change phone often or that old phone got broken, they are in for bad luck. I have recharged for 2 years and obviously can't use th phone for that length of time. So it is NOT that useful in queing more plans in Jio.

I agree with @KanagaDeepan. I also have not received 10GB add-on as I too have changed the handset recently & have few recharges in queue. But got the 10GB add-on pack on my other jio numbers.

@vishalmcp Though it is not mentioned anywhere in the 'My Vouchers' section but they have mentioned it in their Terms and conditions here recently. They have given an end date for the vouchers to force users (those who have more than 8 vouchers) to use them either by recharging ₹300 and above plans or ₹91 booster plans before 31 October 2019.

Jio is very much unpredictable so there is a chance that they may extend the validity of these vouchers too when the actual time approaches as we have seen in the past regarding JioMoney vouchers.

thank you @LTE4G :) Jio had never mentioned voucher validity in their earlier offers. Anyways as mentioned by you Jio is very much unpredictable...

Jio has already complicated things but here are some of the FAQs that may help. Personally I recommend not to recharge too many vouchers in advance.

Is there a limit to the number of recharges which I can do?

You can have a maximum of 25 recharges on your Jio number at any given point of time including add-ons, top-up, plan recharges, ISD/IR packs. However the maximum number of recharges of Rs. 398 or above Plans, during the offer period, can be upto 5 recharges only, per account.

What will happen to the cash back vouchers (50*8) which I have received under Diwali Dhamaka / Triple cashback / Surprise cash back before 9th Jan'18? Can I still use those cashback vouchers and get an additional discount of Rs 50?

Yes, you can utilize the Rs. 50 voucher (One Voucher at a time) to buy new recharges of amount greater than 300 and on 91 and above data add on plans via MyJio app.

If I have recharged with multiple recharges of Rs. 398 and above plans, is there an end date by which I need to activate the queued|upcoming 398 or above plans to avail the Jio 100% cashback?

        1. The maximum number of recharges of Rs. 398 or above plans, during the offer period, can be upto 5 recharges only per account
        2. The cashback vouchers (in multiples of 8) will be credited immediately as soon as you recharge
        3. The maximum validity of any 398 or above plans can be upto 31st October 2019. Hence recommend you to kindly activate any upcoming/queued 398 plan before 31st October 2019 to avail the full benefits and validity.

If I have purchased multiple vouchers of Rs. 398 and above plans, is there an end date by which I need to redeem them for getting Jio 100% cashback?

        1. The maximum number of vouchers purchased of Rs. 398 and above plans, during the offer period, is upto 5 vouchers only, on your Jio number at any given point of time
        2. Kindly redeem the pending 398 and above plan vouchers (if any) before 31st October 2019 to avail the full benefits and validity
        3. As soon as the 398 or above plan vouchers are redeemed, the cashback vouchers will be credited in the respective MyJio App which can be further be redeemed till 15th November 2019.

Details from Terms & Conditions: https://www.jio.com/en-in/jio-surprise-cashback-terms-conditions

    Cashback Voucher of Rs. 50

    • Cash back will only be applicable for Rs. 398 or above recharges/vouchers purchased during offer period (26th Dec ’17 – 15th Jan ‘18)
    • Cash back of Rs 400 will be given in form of 8 vouchers of Rs 50 each by Reliance Retail Ltd. & these vouchers can be redeemed, one at a time, against recharges of Rs 309 & above plans and against Rs 91 & above data add-ons.
    • If a customer does a recharge of 149 then 50 Rs voucher cannot be redeemed for that transaction.
    • Cash back (FOC Rs 50*8) vouchers will be given to MSISDN on which the 398 or above voucher is redeemed/ attached.
    • 50 cashback voucher cannot be redeemed while recharging using own account balance.
    • FOC cash back vouchers (50*8) are non-transferable.
    • All vouchers will have validity till 31st Oct’19

@LTE4G thank you for the explanation. Where could we see validity of Rs. 50 vouchers, as I am unable to see it in my voucher section.

  4. Hi All,

I have a question regarding Jio 100% cashback vouchers(Rs.50*8).  Jio first launched Jio Diwali 100% cashback which was valid from 12th October and 18th October 2017 with limit of 5 recharges per number. Then they had some other similar offer (dont remember the name) with different name & now they have Surprise cashback offer valid from 26th December 2017 and 15th January 2018 & same limit of 5 recharges per Jio number.

My question is if someone has already done 5 recharges during Diwali offer & Christmas offer, are they still eligible to get (Rs.50*8) vouchers if they recharge now under Surprise cashback offer ?

    Thank you.

Did you try the option of 'recharge other number' from the same MyJio account which has the vouchers? It should work imho.

yes, I had tried that option from the Jio account which had vouchers, but when it goes to the payment page, voucher discount is not applied.. :(

One other question, I have 1 voucher (Rs.303) which I have not redeemed yet. I also have 2 Rs.459 plans in the queue (upcoming plan). My current plan expires on 3rd Jan 2018. If I want to activate Rs. 303 voucher plan instead of Rs. 459 plan which is showing as upcoming plan what is the option to do it ?

Manually redeem Rs. 303 voucher on the last date of current plan ?

If I activate Rs. 303 voucher on last day of current plan what will happen to Rs.459 plan which is showing as upcoming plan ?

@vishalmcp did you try recharging other number from the same account (the one which is having the vouchers) without switching the account? Because vouchers will not be available once you switch your account as they are not transferable.

@LTE4G yes, you are correct, after switching account you no longer see the vouchers. Jio has played very smart, to get voucher benefit, you have to recharge each individual numbers..

They are "Cashback vouchers" just like "Plan vouchers" and will remain in your "My Vouchers" of MyJio app till the number is active. :jumpy:

Jio wants you to USE them in the coming years and stay with them by the way of en-cashing vouchers (Marketing trick).;)

Who ever spent ₹399/- got ₹50*8 = ₹400 vouchers. Now to redeem these vouchers you should spend at least ₹309*8 = ₹2472 - ₹400 (50*8) = ₹2072 more. Well someone will say that you can also redeem it against ₹91 top-up, but wait ! - to use a top-up or booster pack you require an active base plan - which means another recharge.

@LTE4G thank you. Also where you able to check on my recharge query ? To recharge other number using Jio voucher ?

Also, can I use my voucher to recharge my number & still eligible to get 50*8 voucher if recharge done before 25th Nov. ?

vishalmcp, You can use Jio vouchers for recharging two Jio numbers only. First  number in which your "my jio app" is registered, second number is linked to your 'my  jio app'(You can link a second Jio number to your "my Jio app" Update the 'my jio' app if old version then open the app, goto My Account > Link new account> Switch account). You can not use  your Jio voucher other than these two numbers.

@KAPILKDEV I have tried with your above method (switch account) but while recharge Jio voucher is not getting applied.

Also, does anyone know what is the expiry date of the 8 cashback vouchers ?

The cashback is applicable on recharge of Rs. 399 done between 12th Oct. to 18th Oct. from all available recharge channels viz Jio stores, MyJio, Jio.com, Reliance Digital, Partner Retail stores, JioMoney, Paytm, AmazonPay, PhonePe and Mobikwik.

You can redeem the cashback vouchers of Rs. 50 each after 15th Nov. 2017 from MyJio app. These vouchers can be redeemed, one at a time, against recharges of Rs 309 & above plans and against Rs 91 & above data add-ons.

When will I get the 100% cashback?

You will get 8 vouchers of Rs. 50 as cashback on recharge of Rs. 399 immediately. These vouchers will be credited in your account and visible in MyJio app under My Vouchers.
In case you have purchased Rs. 399 as a voucher during the offer period, then the cashback will only be credited once this voucher of Rs.399 is redeemed.

How can I gift 100% cashback offer?

You can buy Rs. 399 voucher using MyJio by going to My Voucher section. This voucher of Rs. 399 can then be transferred to your dear ones. The cashback vouchers will be credited to the MyJio account of person redeeming the recharge voucher of 399.

@LTE4G If I now do 2nd recharge of Rs. 399 ( my 1st recharge of Rs.399 is going to expiry on 23rd October) will I be getting 28 days or 84 days as per the new diwali DDD ?

Also, are the cashback vouchers transferable or can be used to recharge other jio numbers ?

    Thank you in advance.

If your ₹399 plan is expiring before Diwali then you may opt for ₹309 plan as it will give you 56 GB for 56 days on the first recharge (assuming that you had recharged with ₹303 to avail summer surprise). Second time recharging with ₹399 will only give 28 days.

@LTE4G my 399 plan expires on 20th October. Also I had not availed summer surprise plan as my connection got activated when DDD offer was running.

As mentioned earlier by you, is Jio coming with any new offers during Diwali ?

Also please suggest on the recharge plan.

    Thank you.

    • For the first recharge of ₹303 = you already got "Summer Surprise" - So no extra voucher.
    • For the second recharge of ₹303 = you are eligible to get 28 days extra - So you got 1 Free voucher.
    • For the third recharge of ₹303 = Still it is not clear since Jio only promised additional data for the 2nd recharge and default validity for ₹303 & ₹309 is 28 days only for subsequent recharges unless Jio makes any further announcements.:unexp::'(:confuse:

@LTE4G you are correct, my third recharge of Rs. 303 started yesterday & I didnt got 28 days voucher. I had raised complaint with CC & they told it is valid only for 2nd recharge.

So, now if I recharge with 399 (it will be my first recharge of Rs.399) will I be getting 28 days or 84 days ?

Similarly what will happen if I recharge with Rs. 309 plan ?

  13. Hi All,

I had done three consecutive recharge of Rs. 303 in the month of March. Then Mr. Ambani announced Jio Summer Surprise offer, which gave additional three months free from (April to June). Earlier 303 plan had 28 days validity. Now when I check in myjio app, I see only 1 (303) plan left in the queue, currently 1(303) I am using which is going to expire on 13th Sept. & I have got 1 voucher (which automatically got added) with 1gb daily with 28 days validity.

So my question is what about the 1st 303 recharge which got activated somewhere in the month of July. Shouldn't I get 1 voucher free for the first 303 plan ?

Also, will I get another voucher when my last 303 plan starts from 14th Sept ?
