  1. It normally is caused by a defective zero sector / FAT info. An ideal solution would be to use a low level formatter for the USB drive, (you can try HP Key format), and then format with the normal windows format tool..

    I have used HP format tool but nothing happend. It is giving error "too big to format" when I am using FAT/FAT32. But when using NTFS it is giving error "format failed".


  2. Hi all,

    I am having a usb pen drive, its printed "sony" on it. But the chipset its showing is "Alcor". the capacity its showing is 120 Gb. But without any data in it when i saw the space usage its showing 4 gb used. With windows XP proff. I am not able to even format it. When I copy some data in it it gets copied properly but after some time again when we re-insert it, the folder size becomes 0 kb with no data in it. I have tried with different pc's but still the same. I think its a fake one, with some sort of memory hack done so it is showing more capacity then it might be having.

    I have searched on net but i am not able to find any proper solution to it.

    So if anyone has any tool through which I can format it & get the usable actual capacity of it, please do tell me.

    Would be waiting for answers.

  3. Yes its true many times either the phone gets disconnected or u get engage tone. Reliance CC is horrible. If we call CC & tell them we need to talk to their seniors coz to elevate the matter, they just tell be on hold & i am transferring. But we need to be on hold for more than 5 or 10 min. then again we need to explain the problem & they tell us i am checking be on hold. this would take again 5 or 10 min with no resolution for your problem.

    Some executives dont even know how to talk to customer . they just pickup the phone & say "reliance". in such a way that they r not interested in talking with us or even solving our problems.

    anyways but we dont have any option untill number portability comes so that we can choose the operator of our choice but the number wont change, till then enjoy useless CC of reliance.

    I have already put a mail to customercare & serviceassurancecell but they are not able to find any deduction in my account which they gave me reply for the first time. But I again wrote that money has been deducted & give me the list of all the calls that I had made for that particular day. Then they gave me a complaint no. & told we have given your call to our concerned department & will take 5 business days to reply. But still no reply.

    Is there any other way to get our money back & teach them a lesson ?


  5. Reliance Continues With Its Cheating Policy

    Hi all,

    I am a prepaid mobile user. Reliance continues with its cheating policy. Yesterday in the morning when I checked my balance it was Rs. 53/-. In the whole day I had not made any calls, only have received the calls. But today in the morning before making any call I checked the balance & it was Rs. 23/-.

    I called CC they told that u have used some sort of data services the details of which would be available after 24 hours. I told I have neither used any sort of data services nor activated any thing still the amount got deducted.

    The same thing had happened with me one month ago & at that time amount deducted was Rs.50/-. I called CC asked for refund but nothing happened. Even I had put mails to customercare & serviceassurancecell but they didn't turned up. According to them they were not able to see any deduction in my account, nor it was showing any service activated still they deducted the amount. The interesting fact is CC executive is telling that you have used data services 1234. But they were not ready to listen to what the customer is saying.

    So prepaid users beware check your balance regularly & if any one has face same sort problem do post so that all of them comes to know. If any one has solution how to get back the deducted amount do write.

    Viral. I am RIM prepaid mobile user also yaar thats why i was asking u details on it coz i dont trust cc of reliance. Put a long mail to following email ids explaining your problem in detail

    customercare@relianceada.com , serviceassurancecell@relianceada.com .

    Might be your problem get resolved.

    Never recharge through ICICI bank online coz i have heard many problems for the same. Your account gets debited & recharge is also not done.


  7. i have a prepaid connection, I charged my phone with a Rs. 95/- sms pack, which gives 5000 sms in a month, on sending about 30-40 sms, my balance keeps dropping by Rs. 1 or 2. even though the sms pack is active and all sms are local. this keeps happening after every 30 to 40 sms, sometimes immediately after sending the sms aor sometimes hours after sending the sms

    Have u talked with cc regarding that ? If yes what did they told ? Reliance is master in doing all such things. Fooling customers is there motto.

    Anyways try to talk with cc or else put a mail to serviceassurancecell@relianceada.com & customercare@relianceada.com.

    I am having a win2003 domain. My domain user account gets locked out automatically every 5 min. This is happening from last 4 days. I have not changed my password recently. I saw the event viewer it is showing event id 539

  10. Yes u r right honest. but ultimately we the customers are suffering. The same things are happening the moment we de-activate the facility the next day it is again activated & cc has no answer as how it got activated. If u r not calling cc & de-activate it then u r charged for that.Again if u r not applying for wavier for it they go on charging in the upcoming bills. I am really fed up of this ,but do we have any another solution for this ? Please reply if any one has got rid of this problem.

    I think they should get customers who will not pay their bills & let the service get discontinued. I am thinking of migrating to prepaid to get rid from this type of problems.


  11. I have been customer of reliance since last more than three years & would like to continue being the same. But from last two months I am facing some sort of unwanted problems from reliance.

    Starting with first case in last month without any intemation from our side Mytunes facility was activated on my above given number for which I had received a sms from reliance. I called the helpline no. & told them the scenario & they told that you will not be charged for that since it was not the request from my side. But when I received the bill I was charged for that Rs. 21.21 for that. I again called the helpline & explained the scenario & they told that you will be given wavier for that in the next bill. I got that wavier In the next bill & the things got fine. Also I had applied for de-activating my itemised billing in previous month which has still not being de-activated from their side.

    But again after few days without any request from my side I had received a sms from reliance that "you are subscribed to VAS portal pack". I called the helpline no., they told me that it is promotional offer from reliance & you will not be charged for that. I told them I would like to de-activate the same for which my request no. was 51667729 & the pack got de-activated.

    But again after some days same thing happened again. This time also no request was made from my side. You can understand that nobody has the time to call the helpline no., which is very hard to reach, every now & then & narrating them the same problem. I had not used any service from VAS portal pack. When I received the bill I was charged Rs. 99 for VAS portal pack, Rs. 25 for itemised billing for which I had already applied for de-activating it. I called the helpline no. & as usual has being given the request.

    I hope someboby might have faced same sort of problem from reliance. Even they are not having any answer for how the services are automatically getting activated without any request from the customer.

    I think this is new way of making customers fool & taking extra money from them.

    Please share your experience so that everybody comes to know how customers are fooled.

    I had recently purchased a reliance LG RD 6230 phone.

    At the time of purchasing the phone sales representative told me there is offer going on this phone. According to that offer you will get 2000 local RIM to RIM calls plus 2000 local SMS free. I told him that I want phone no. of my choice & will the offer be available on that also ? He told yes you will get the offer even if you change the no. So while filling up the postpaid application form on the top he had written no. of my choice.

    The phone no. that I got with GSK was different but he told me to activate the phone & later on he would give me the ticket no. so that I can get my claimed no. I activated the phone on 31-10-2006 & after more than 24 hrs. he gave me the ticket no. & using that ticket no. I again activated the phone & my no. was changed.

    After this I called Reliance Helpline *333 & enquiry about offer. They told me that there is no offer showing on your phone so please contact the person from whom you bought the phone. I called sales representative,he told me helpline people does'nt know about offer you will get all the details in your first bill. Now when I received my first bill there was no such detail mention in the bill. So I again called that follow & now he is telling "do what ever you want I don't know anything". I called helpline & they have given me complaint no. 41860856.

    More then 24 hours has already passed but I have'nt got any reply from reliance side nor the status of my complaint. I had also sent mail to serviceassurancecell@relianceada.com but I still have not received any reply from them.

    So please can anyone tell me what action should I take against them ?

    This is my first post to this disussion forum. I am having Lg Lsp 350r phone. I need driver for the same so that I can connect it to my pc & access Internet. I am using Win-xp. I am having serial cable for connecting phone to pc but no driver so I am not able to use internet.

    Please provide me the driver for the same or link from were I can download.
