Don't repent dude. for me, 2865 is doing great job in 6k, rather than spending almost double on chocolate. the softwares installed in 2865, esp the bluetooch remote control, is really making life much easier. ya, if LG chocolate would be at 8k, then i'd join u in , but 11k seems much costlier just for looks, not even expandable memory. for that money, i think N6275 is a good choice. i do agree with ani, spending 11k on 6275 would be much intelligent & 'value for money' choice than spending 11k on LG chocolate, which has half the features of 6275. i would only buy a handset like chocolate if its priced between 7-8k.

Which Is D Best Mp3/wav To Midi Converter?
anuragz replied to drali's topic in General Technical Discussion
My dear friend what u r trying to do is actually next to impossible. MIDI music format is completely different from other music formats like mp3, wav, ra. aac etc. Midi is not exactely a file which contains music like mp3 or wav. Infact it could be rightly said that MIDI is a file which contains codes or addresses to play different instruments at different intervals of time. MIDI = Musical Instrument Digital Interface. You might have noticed that unlike a wav or mp3 a Midi file never contains vocals & moreover it is also very small in size. Actually there is a universal patterns for midi. There are 128 sounds of musical instruments, sfx & some drumkits sounds are assigned at a partlcular location. for eg. 1 is assigned sound of 'Grand Piano' 2 is assigned sound of 'Flute' 3 = electric guitar & so on it goes to ... 128 = ' sound of gunshot' (no company changes the instrument sound & the fixed number alloted to it, it is followed universally) Now these 128 sounds along with the fixed number allcated to them resides somewhere in your pc soundcards, synthesizers, moblie phones etc. A midi file only contains address of the instrument to be played at a particular time. A midi file cantains maximum 16 tracks, each track is assigned any of those 128 instrument sound which it plays throughout whole song. (for eg. Track one is alloted Bass sound , track two alloted piano, track three flute. these tracks can easily be seperated or changed using a midi track editor) I hope now you know a bit of mechanism of a Midi file. Now if u try to convert a wav file (which contains vocals, special sounds, effects) these vocals, effects are not present in your sound card's 'midi instruments momory'. So how will it play these sounds ? Moreonver a midi file contains 16 tracks (each track produces different) & a wav file contains only 1 track. Now converting 16 different tracks from 1 single mixed track is a very tough job. All those softwares which claim to convert midi from wav, these s/w produce very unsatisfactory results. if a sound file is very clearly audible & it contains very common instrument sounds only then these s/w produces some good results. So, i hope now u know whats bugging you. -

if u can get dBpowerAMP music converter that would be very convinient for u. its a amall s/w after installing it just right click on any music file , u will see option "convert to mp3". Moreonver It too provides ability to convert your music with different bitrate & quality (generally we have mp3 with 128kbps bitrate but if its converted at 160kbps it gives much better sound.) You can also add on plugins for this s/w which enables u to convert to other formats like mp4, ogg, ra etc. u can also directly rip audio cd's. another easy option: i remember in earlier version of Nero (cd burner) another s/w aslo used to install called 'Nero wave editor' although it was a trial version which used to run for a month but it gave good audio editing & conversion quality. for more help pm me -
where to place this pri file ? will this file work for other handsets too ? any tutorials ?

Vodafone bags Hutch for US$ 19.3 Billion !
anuragz replied to sanket55555's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
According to latest news Vodafone has signed an agreement with Bharti to use 70000 common towers in the country. I remenber few months back Reliance also signed such an agreement with Hutch to use around 50000 common towers. i wonder if all the service providers start using common towers then there will be no trouble of network unavailability in any region -
Has anyone tried it ????????????????????

i am a bit confused about the use of RUIM. My queries are:- Does RUIM plays the same role in CDMA as SIM plays in GSM ? If i use a RUIM card then apart from RUIM, does the handset needs to be programmed ( like traditional non RUIM based handsets) to access the network ? There r many handsets which have RUIM slots. Still why does service provider programmes it rather than selling it with RUIM ? Can i change the handset just by swapping RUIM (like in GSM phones) ? Can i change handsets of two different service providers (TATA & REL) by swapping RUIM ? RUIM is beneficial for international travellers. How is it beneficial for non-travellers ? Plz answer my queries.

If i buy this handset would i be able to use it with tata just by swapping RUIM ? I hope this phone is not locked to Reliance & reliance is selling this phone with connection through RUIM ? Can anyone plz test this let us know !!

i think at this price its a phone worth buying. B'coz around Rs2000 u dont get any coloured phone with fm. Not even in GSM. Tata is also selling an Fm pfone( Huawei c2205 better known as Indicom Rhythm) for Rs 2000 but its mono & is a chinese phone. Moreover i think LG is not that bad either that u need a second thought to spend 2000 bucks.

is nokia6233 a gsm variant of nokia6275 ?
-
Both Reliance & Airtel seems to me like sister concerns, both offer plans which benefits the service provider more than the consumers & above all there is always some element in both the company's bills which is hard to understand & accept. so u r simply left to pay more than u used to these firms. I wish that some honest company with some very honest plans wins the battle in the telecom sector.

i had also read that Motorola will be launching CDMA version of MOTOFONE F3 by the Dec 2006. Has it been launched ?
-
yes it is, but the audio quality is poor & its mono. so cabled handsfree is best recommended to listen to music.

yeah, i received a sms from reliance stating " dear customer, upgrade now with new color lg3470 with fm radio, at a great price". but price is not mentioned in the sms. Did anyone went to webworld to confirm prices ??
