True, Theres no point in taking things for Granted now-a-days. I always read fine prints. and am so much into it that I first look for the standard '*conditions apply' statement in any promotion before even reading the full ad/promotion. Precaution is Better.

"Carkit" is not a new profile. It already exists in LG 6130. Although, how it automatically changed is unexplainable. The profile is for when u use carkit while driving. When u insert a headset, it changes to head set profile and if you try to change the profile then it displays 'pull out headset'. Take you phone to LG service centre. That will be helpful.

Yes I agree. Surely, theres a need for such tariff compare utility across operators. However TRAI has already framed regulations wherein operators are required to give estimated monthly billing depending on a preset usage patterns for various usage slabs like 100 mins, 200 mins & so on. We can find it on companies website for their individual plans. But TRAI should come forward and provide inter-operator comparision facility.

Thanks Hetal for the precautionary advice. Actually I had even downloaded thisCDMA_AT_Commands.pdf file of AT commands few months back. Basically I was looking for a way to read SMS from the phone and store it in PC. I learned that AT command can read SMS, so I got the file. Anyways I haven't experimented with anything yet for the fear for messing up the phone. And now I Guess its really not useful for me unless I learn it throughly.

I have found a software called cdma_workshop. It can be used to see and edit NAM settings(upto nam4), send AT commands, security settings, read & write memory file, get lock code, SPC etc. I did not understand many things. Maybe its more useful for programmers. Download it here: cdma_workshop

LG is such a company that it might not have simply missed to note and ponder before it manufactures such handsets that misses vital features. Other companies already manufacture full feature packed phones. So it is not that technology is not available and LG need to make a path breaking innovation. Nor it is, that there is no market for full feature high - end phones in India. So, maybe LG deliberately makes such handsets for some unknown reasons. Or maybe it fears that people will stick to one handset for years, if they get benefits of all world in one handsets. And ppl won't keep changing handsets. It feels as if it is their marketing strategy to keep some unique upgradable feature that can provoke customers to keep upgrading their phones and thereby add to their sales. But, sooner or later this kind of tactics are going to fail and I give thumbs down to LG for this

Guys & Gals --- "Roop mat dekho goon dekho, Roop to aaj hai aur kal nahi. Goon sashwat hai, Roop toh man ko lalchane ki maya hai. ....." No! not me, My philosophy teacher told me this. Btw, in todays market, any mobile above 10K must have camera, memory capability, music capability and connectivity features. Nokia, Sony, Samsung all of them continously try to pack as many features as possible and at the same time try to keep prices lower. And they have thus set benchmark for phones and features. On the other hand, LG trys to differ. It mostly misses some or the other feature or capability, which makes it hard decision to buy LG phones.

The Product note mentions 11 hours of Video Recording. How damn is it possible without external memory?? @shaikhsadik: The pic posted shows some external card. What is it?? Looks like a memory (mini SD) card.
