Please let us know. I shall rush to nearest BSNL office for my EVDO card, the day it starts

On the backside of LG 6600 there is a small sticker which says "QUALCOMM 3G CDMA". Does it mean that it is EVDO enabled ???

I don't think increasing speed of the USB port means you can increase speed of R Connect. However it may give little improvement. It is the port speed of PC & can connect to your phone at that speed. If the speed of modem(phone) port is less than the data transfer shall take place at lower of the two. I use 460800 for my LG 6600 through blue tooth. For better speed 01. Under modem configration deselect " modem compression" & "modem error control" 02. Under PPP setting select "enable software compression" 03. Install the latest "Netbooster" for RCOM site You should get good speed
-
In the modem property deselect "enable modem error control" & "enable modem compression". under networking tab of dialup sectect " enable software compression" Download latest Netbooster from Reliance site. If using USB keep the USB port speed high say 110000 or above. You should get good speed. I get around 170 to 180 kbps when tested at MTNL site.

Last few days I am looking for a Nokia Phone, with R Connect capabilities. The min price being quoted for such a phone is Rs 9700-9800/- for model 6275. Presently I am using 2112, which has gone dead. Please let me know if there is any other cheaper model available. Why Nokia, because I feel, that Nokia drivers are good & you get a good speed. Please inform

Hi Guys Got LG 6600 few days back @6350 + 250 for blue tooth donge AND " I AM LOVING IT"

Please koi to battaoo.. Iam not able to read the data through bitpim. It is not being detected. The card is ZTE M315.. I sent a PM to Hetal also, he has not responded Please help..
-
Hi, can you explain how to do it. Does that mean that if I have a decativated card, by inserting RIUM, I can use Data Card. I have a data card which is not being used. I was using 2112, which has gone bad. Now I am on Classic, which can't be used for R connect. By using the RIUm of my phone I shall be able to use it for voice & data calls. Other wise I have to pay for 2 connections Please inform

I use skype regularly. But when I use skype through R Connect, the voice normally cracks, some times some portion of the voice gets lost. But at some locations there is no problem, it works fine. What can be the reason. I have been checking speed , normally it is around 100 kps ( checked through mtnl broad band site) I have also used "at+crm=1; +cso=33" but no improvement. I have Nokia 2112 & DKU 50 cable & it is installed as Nokia "CDMA 1xRTT 3G Packet Data Modem". I have no issues with the speed, as it is always good & normally at 100 kbs. At my house i get around 180 kbps. Please help
-
Sorry, it did not work . I went out & tried , problem is same
-
PINGAPP HAS HELPED. I have also disabled the software compression in the modem properties. The cracking problem has reduced. I need to check it when I go outstation next time If there are any other suggestions, please post.. Thanks......
-
Please let me know how do I reduce speed & compression so that I can get a consistent connection. Latency in communication I will be able to handle. I only want solution to voice skipping ( some words get skipped) / cracking. Latency in communication I shall be able to handle by using pause between talk
-
How do I reduce speed, so that data transfer is consistent. Any strings or settings for modem to connect it with a lower speed & less compression ?
-
Is there any way to reduce the speed & compression ? I feel higher the speed, cracking problem is more. If the speed is arount 70-80 kbs the voice quality & video quality is poor , but voice doesn't crack. Higher the speed, the video & voice may be better bit it cracks.

I know that there are some inherent latencies issues while using internet through CDMA networks. These inherent latencies issues during data transmission make the voice cracking. The reason for putting the problem on forums was to discuss the same & if there is any way to reduce the same. I already have MTNL broad band at home & office & Skype works fine there. I use netconnect only when I am outstation & normal broadband is not available. At some locations I found the the voice doesn't crack at all ( Jaipur near airport & some remote places in Rajasthan) but at some locations the voice quality is so bad that you can hear nothing. There appears to be some thing called "EV-DO" with CDMA networks which can reduce these latencies. Are there any strings like "at+crm=1; +cso=33" which can reduce the voice cracking? Any information ?
