RCL can do anything, they can make a pact with german, chines or korean. Ultimately it must not be heavily priced handset with unrealistic features and after sales service.

Can anybody tell me about the voice clarity while using google talk voice chat service (considering the fact that the tower strength is good).

Well I definitely agree that google is coming up with some really innovative ideas, but if we think about the future, then google is going to capture the entire mobile phone market. Few days back itself we heard that google is coming up with cell phone, now this shows that first give people all the product free then make them habitual to that and in the last start charging. This is what Reliance in India is also following. Any big business is run in the same way as google is running by giving innovative product.

CDMA will die if it does not take actions for handsets and prices of handset as most operators are not interested in handling handset hessles. But at the same time CDMA being more efficient and faster for data, it can survive if country like India uses it. China will focus only on TDSCDMA and GSM because of its investments in TDSCDMA research. I dont think that CDMA is going to die with its own, as the amount of data trasnfer speed which it provide is incrdible. Also now in India, BSNL is setting up new CDMA network using EVDO for higher bandwidth.

I am not sure why we are discussing about this handset which is not available in Reliance network (other then by tweaking)

Its not EVDO enabled phone, also very soon LG is also going to stop the prodcution of CDMA handset. They are very freightened with Chinese handset makers. So be careful while selecting LG or Nokia handset as in the near future their servicing will become very difficult.

Try to download from LG website, its available there. You can search in google directly, let me know if you do not get it in the LG site.

Or else if you are a good surfer, then switch to Blackberry, you will have unlimited surfing with nice speed in proper real format.

You can use it as a Modem, but for that the charges will be extra, it will net connect charge. Yes MSN Messenger is not available, its in Win ver 6. There wont be any problem in opening your mails on blackberry. There is enough memory, also you can store your mail on the server itself.

Well thats good to know that I can use google talk for voice telephony. But my concern is about the voice clarity? I already have a Reliance data card (EC 325) and I am using it for voice chat, but manytimes voice breaks. Normally the downloadable speed is good (13-16 Kb/sec). I have a plan of buying Blackberry 8703e for google talk voice chat and access to e mail. KIndly let me know if the voice clarity is good while using google chat service (considering the fact that the tower strength is good).

Hi, one very quick question. Can we use google talk or yahoo messenger in 8703e to make any internet call to any person on computer or on blackberry itself ? If yes then what will happen if somebody call me on my Reliance number while using google talk?

Reliance have drastically reduced the roaming rates for both prepaid and postpaid . Even the rentals for postpaid roaming has been removed. Finally its a good decision by TRAI and by all the mobile operators.
