  4. Dual Core And Core 2 Duo

dual core is replaced by core 2 duo, somebody has differentiated the 'matter' that is not noticeable by many. but the fact is that even this technology will soon be replaced by 'quad core' and become more performance intensive.. some days back i had an offer of HP[ T9100, 2.5 GHZ, 300GB HDD, 4GB Ram for approx 60k. from one of the saudi friends.. this configuration was not even on display in US.. It shows how fast the technology takes a jump...to make your current config look ancient for the 'technology savvy' for people like me a celeron 1.6, 512,40gb is more than suffiecient for the purpose.
  5. Tariff Plan Change

  17. Rcom Unveils Motorola W362

data transfer is equal to r-connect? any guesses i just looked up several coverages on the introduction of the handset as well as on motorola site, but it is not configured for r-connect. so its of no use to me... all the same it looks like a good handset for somebody who can make do without r-connect.
  18. Now there wil be a stop to the practice of stating the speed as 'upto'.. hopefully... "NEW DELHI: Telecom regulator TRAI today asked service providers to specify minimum speed of broadband plan, which must be at least 256 Kbps. In a statement here, the regulator said it has already written to all the service providers not to use words like "up to" while specifying minimum speed of the plan. The service providers have also been asked to bring to the notice of subscribers the definition of broadband while offering high speed internet connections. While efforts are being made to ensure minimum 256 Kbps speed for broadband connections, some stakeholders have also suggested raising the minimum speed of such connections. To set future roadmap for defining broadband in the country, TRAI also released a status paper on 'Broadband Speed' today. The paper has analysed broadband speed, as defined in various countries, the prevailing environment and impact of growth of broadband on the economy of the country. It has also analysed the present broadband infrastructure existing in the country and implications of redefining broadband speed. TRAI said the speed of the broadband connection is generally defined to indicate average speed which can support different applications. Broadband speed is related both to the availability of the network access infrastructure as well as to appropriate content which requires such high internet speeds. It said the important issue is to identify the parameters which derive definition of broadband and whether there is a need to modify existing broadband definition. TRAI has also asked for the comments of all the stakeholders on the paper." it is available here- http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/News_b...how/2666701.cms

  20. Lg Rd 6600 !

it need not be the problem of call/ dialled number history as this is a very standard function. If it is the only problem then may be a software update can take care of this. or look in the menu options whether there is a provision for disabling this feature of keeping the dialled calls in the history..
  21. Lets Ask Arun

This is a democratic forum. Members can upload files wherever they want to. But the thing is that Uploading is free for them.. and it takes about some tweak and time management to download from the premium servers.. Of course it helps if you can manage your IP. Btw instead of 'insisting' on the free servers, what can be done is that, Moderators can 'suggest' a number of free and 'dependable' servers for the files to be uploaded. Secondly, request the uploader to upload the files on the free servers... I dont think the request will go un noticed.

  25. Hutch Is Now Vodafone

the synergy which should have been there... the vibrancy is lacking.. vodafone should have hit the nail on the head by introducing the best plans, schemes and all works.. but seems its arun sarins mind at work and not ashim's i guess the news that i had heard.. vodafone did not achieve spectacular..infact not even decent results under arun sarin's leadership, in fact it had to retract from some markets where arun sarin had put in his best foot forward and so on and on. in the last so many years he was with vodafone this is only the saving grace that he had got hutch in the worlds fastest and yet to be fully exploited market... my bets next is that six months down the line he will shift to some other corporate while taking the biggest incentives/ bonus ever heard of.. http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/News_b...how/3075220.cms i am way off my prediction by approx 2 months...
