its mostly the network congestion. If you try the same thing in the morning hours and in a well ventilated room, you will get a positive turn in your surfing and good speed. -
R-connect's Maximum Speed - Screen Shots
copperco2 replied to Suresh_Neyveli's topic in Data services
Reality - "There have been claims in various published technical articles and newsgroup postings that Windows XP always reserves 20 percent of the available bandwidth for QoS. These claims are incorrect. As in Windows 2000, programs can take advantage of QoS through the QoS APIs in Windows XP. 100% of the network bandwidth is available to be shared by all programs unless a program specifically requests priority bandwidth. This "reserved" bandwidth is still available to other programs unless the requesting program is sending data. By default, programs can reserve up to an aggregate bandwidth of 20% of the underlying link speed on each interface on an end computer. If the program that reserved the bandwidth is not sending sufficient data to use it, the unused part of the reserved bandwidth is available for other data flows on the same host. you can also check.. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...b;en-us;Q316666 -

"I have recently run an XP Pro set up, after the installation, i got the message while the machine booted.."SQL dumper library failed to initialization. your installation is either corrupt or has neen tampered with. Please uninstall then rerun set up to correct this problem." This message is repeated everytime my machine gets boot.. What does it mean and how can it be corrected? Any ideas? -

Mtnl's Broadband Waitlist Now At 10,000
copperco2 replied to Honest's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
it seems for a 256 kbps broadband line, what i will get is 256/8= 32 kbps. It is my privilage and not right that i was getting 200kbps a week or so ago, For the increase in speed i will have to subscribe to new plan which gives upto 2mbps and night unlimited.. and be very sure if you talk to four guys at MTNL, they will give you four version of the same thing and they will not match with one another.. a typical customer service exp. -

I am using D link 502t, the splitter image provided is not with me. The direct line comes to my modem from there a line out is given for the handset and it as done by the exchange person. it s another issue tht if i use the handset onthe parallel line, and use it then my triband connection comes to a halt for the time the call is in progress. Well, dial-up modems connect the way you have describled ...but havent heard that an ADSL modem has a line-out for a phone! What is the make of your modem? Im just wondering if your modem has the splitter circuitry built into itself...Since you say you dont have a splitter, it might be worthwhile to remove your phone instrument and connect the phone line ONLY to your modem ...and then see if there is any performance improvement.I am using GLB 502T from dlink.
