any repurcussions of this software/ consequences and i am d i will get the bluetooth dongle all right but then what is this adapter thing. i the necessary software in my laptop then i guess only the dongle would do the trick. and then again when i have bluetooth do u think i will need the cable also

thanks i tried to follow it up on the thread HP SMS SErver but then i am not so technically sound. so it took the natural course of going over my h :GirandoOjos:head. Hetal is very helpful and knowledgeble , just hope that i find a cost effective way to send sms across to all service providers. just off the topic .. reliance netconnect rates have been revised to be effective from the last week of january and these will be costingmore-10 paise per minute in the day and 10 paise more per minute in the night i.e. 60paisa per minute and 30 paisa per minute

dont. net connection is all right. but then if yu want a battery life ... dont. lg 6000 comes with a extra battery . go for it. that too for 5500/- its VFM

Its been available in Indian Market for just two months or so.... Even it's PC Sync software is not available on RIM website , ofcourse i have it with me. but in such a scenarion.. the software upgradation is not possible maybe a year down the line nokia people may have a upgrade Secondly if they issue a softeware upgrade at this time then it will mean that they have issued a faulty version in he start itself . self blame is not a simple thing to do. but if you come across anything or anybody else ..do inform me. to solve the issue at hand.

Must be the Problem of Connection See that you get proper Range The connection! you mean to say the network!! then i dont think so. because i was standing in the middle of the city in a open space. and the Gallery feature in the handset is network independent. this is the second time it has happened ih me since i have got the handset. :'( ofcourse it doesnt affect the work i do but then if a doubt comes in the mind then you have to sort it out before the disbelief comes in. what do u say. btw i have got a good ringtone. guess how. i recorded it off the speakers of my laptop.

seems to get stuck at the gallery some times. does not respond to any ket at least for more than a couple of seconds

'no sound'. has anyone been experiencing no sound for at least two to three calls after picking up the phone or calling up/ day :'( . My voice is crystal clear to the other party but i cannot hear them.. too bad. this is a boon for unwanted calls... but isit a problem for 2865 or is it a problem for me alone! btw if yu are using net connect even for an hour at a stretch be prepared to keep the charger handy or CA70 cable to keep the phone charging at the time of your usage . cause the handset eats the battery like hell. and if you have the CA70 able then do not forget to keep your laptop plugged in the power cable . desktop ppl willnothave any problem though.

it is less than basic description of what the phone/ handset is capable of. basic details like phonebook capacity are missing. As well as the handset experience thing also missing for new buyers.

okay done, btw what is the dormant mode while connecting to rconnect-internet. and is it equivalent to connection but no activity and we are charged for that? how come couple of words in marathi can exhaust the message length in 2865! And Wish you a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year Ahead What will be an advantage for doing this. UIM memory seems to be only for something more than a couple of messages. and then again what is the total memory for messages in 2865 includng the UIM.

but from yesterday i have received a couple of messages and then i got a message that my UIM memory is full. shoule i change the setting to phone memory only from phone and UIM memory. I had done it mistakenly yesterday!

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between UIM memory and phone memory in 2865. can it be enhanced? is it equivalent to sim card memory in gsm phones?

i agree with you in totality. considering it has the same battery which powers 5340 with again standby time for the day and minimum calls and sms use then all its multimedia capabilty and camera will again take a toll on its battery. i dont think this is a phone for people who will be using the camera even moderately and want to have a talktime of at least one hour. if at all .... you will have to carry a battery with you as spare and as a charger tp charge the other battery too. guys if you differ with me .. do let me know. by the way 6000 and 6500 are powered by a different and powerfulbattery but still.. they are not considered enough to last for the day with its multimedia capabilities used moderately. why oh why....

buddy.. thanks for your frank feedback i am now a gone for nokia 2865 , it cannot compare with 6500 but then it works for me.

i am trying to put in some likeable ringtones in my 2865. i tried indiatimes as i said earlier toooo, only mono ringtones... i want poly or tru.... Rworld tones - mp3 format does not match with this handset, and other are not worth mentioning humm i should better start recording songs and set them as ringtones.. what do you say.. ALas I have now logged on to zedge.net but then i dont find 2865, can anyone tell me what handset model number should one choose to download the ringtone or screen saver. I accessed this website on 2865, it will take me some time for getting used to. . one thing i can say is the display of this handset is very pleasing to the eyes ..(i.e. ). i tried putting in some jpeg and gif images but they do not give the same effect that they give on my laptop. dont know why Thanks buddy

Thanks. you are a dear by the way as i an surfing just now, i see the speed as 460.8 kbps and not 115 kbps as available and claimed by reliance on other handsets. is it just the number or real improvement . because i dont see much of difference in the data tansfer. it shows tremendous amount of data transferred but no visible gains. i am just trying to personalise my 2865. thanks a ton.
