You get good speeds for torrents? BSNL blocks port forwarding, so torrents work pathetically. Can you tell me the speed that you get for torrents and whether the port used for torrents is open for your connection?

Hi, I have the ZTE MY 39 evdo card provided by BSNL. Is there any way to enable 1x mode using CDMA workshop or any other software? Currently only evdo mode is enabled in my card. So it doesn't work in areas where there is only 1x coverage.

Declaring the goods correctly alone is not enough, the customs people should be convinced that the price declared is correct. Otherwise, they can assume a price for the goods as per current marked price and levy duty on you. I had imported a second hand EDGE/GPRS card from US for $49( $1 = Rs.40/- back then).The product and price were correctly declared. I even gave them a print out of the transaction statement as a proof for the price of product. Still had to pay Rs.900/- as tax for a Rs 2000/- item. ie a duty of 45%. It all depends on the customs guys and your luck.

Idea charges Rs. 5 a day for unlimited WAP (Mah & Goa). That is Rs. 150 a month. 500 /month is ridiculous! I would give up WAP usage altogether, If I had to pay that much!!! It seems RCom is trying to act holy - 1st charging exhorbitantly without even informing its customers, and then trying to act holy by waiving off the charges! Perhaps it they are trying to create psychological goodwill from such acts... And as Honest very rightly said, their "coming soon" depends entirely on how RCom defines "soon"... If reliance provides unlimited browsing for Rs.500/- or less, who is going to use netconnect? Everybody will be going for this plan and that will be a loss for them.

Can anyone please explain the 1000% rise. It is being repeated here in a lot of posts. AFAIK, Earlier it was 10ps / 10kb now its Rs1/10 kb. So thats a 100% rise and not a 1000%.

Has anyone successfully done 999 one month unlimited easy recharge? I tried twice but both times it came out as topup instead of netconnect plan. The dealer reversed the charge both times. I went to web world today. The CC executives said they cannot assure whether the recharge will be done as netconnect plan or topup. The vouchers are not available anymore. Is there anyone in this forum doing 999 netconnect easy recharge?
