hey guys, i have been seeing ads of htc pda ... of which one was a PPC windows mobile 5 .. n price was 16K while other was windows mobile 6 .. n price was around 19K they were the official prices with bill n warranty.. one may bargain it to 500-1000 less... so why are this reliance people selling a wm5 instrument .. of not so reputed company as htc .. for high as 30000 .!! i wonder how they still get through some buyers ..

i often have screen problems .. as stylus dont respond n stuff . wat i use to do is .. clean .. thorughly my screen with a thin cloth .. also go under the edges and corner with the help of my nail ... n clean it .. i clean it by applying a bit of pressure ... then align the screen ... n it gets solved .. and about sadik, i have 2 batteries and 1 memcard pending from him since last 1.5 month .!! as usual .. no responds to calls/sms .. once luckily he picked my call .. and said that hes having some problem n his life is disturbed n stuff.. though he promised me to send it by 4th day ... but 2 weeks are over to that conversation .... and im still waiting...

may be you guys would be using a whole mp3 song file as a ringtone .. which some times ranges high upto 8 mbs!!.. i use soundforge and make small 30 secs. ringtones from the mp3 files .. helps in reducing the wake up time.!

Im also facing some network problem ... but not severe .. im not gettin network at some places where i was getting a low 1-2 tower network on my kyo7135 before... what can be the reason ?

hmm .. i have observed one thing ..i was using my touch screen with fingers n nails (of course.. for just dialing a number or for just unlocking phone..who would like to remove stylus for a couple of taps?? ) and my screen needed daily alignment for 2-3 times .!! but now im avoiding that .. for even a single tap .. i use stylus .. and my once done alignment almost lasts for more then a couple of days ..! thus .. recommend every1(who r like me) .. to use the stylus for every tap..

Clean your screen properly... also clean the edges of the screen (the part between the phone built n screen) use a cloth on ur nail n swipe ur nail around the edges...or use a thin pointed cloth to do that.. restart your ppc.. might help... I know its tougher not impossible. In hopes of 6800 one should not stop using 6700, how sadik will earn then? Agree with you. Sadik is busy making money nowadays lol !

Ok .! since 2 days .. im not having any such issues .! The screen has remained all rite all the time .. didnt even had a need to align .. i recommend what i did to all who are having the screen alignment problem.. it might cure it .! once again thank you guys for the help !

Well friends, I've bought it from reliance. I don't think i would be interested in teasing them. I'd like to know as who'll have bought from reliance and updated the rom by hetal? I wanted to see the handsets live if possible. This is my 1st ppc, also never have flashed roms. So wanted to be really sure on what's happening. Let me also throw light on the poor quality handset of reliance. Since saturday night my phone does not connect to reliance network. I restarted, hard reset done. The radio module is not mounting. On restart, it shows the radio no, also in the device info it does not show. My uncle bought with me and he cannot hear anything nor can the other person hear. Utstar is getting that part from Taiwan. I think after spending Rs. 33000, I don't think anyone would expect such cheap stuff. I wish I would have known then I would have worked my way out earlier. Vishal Why dont you show it at your near reliance or at UTStarcom service center...If your phone is in warranty.. you might get some help .. as may be a replacement. Reflashing ROM almost cures all such errors... if its possible on Reliance's ppc.... but i dont know that do reflashing rom voids the warranty ??

Hey thanks guys !! Reflashing rom was my first option to cure it...but problem continued though. I dont use any case or any screen protector..Just keep it in my pant pocket n use it. have tried some stuff from the links....as cleaned my phone's screen edges(part between screen n phone built) with a thin cloth on my nail... has cured ..but dont know if its a temporary (as usual) .. or has really cured that.. Hope for the best..

Im facing with a strange alignment problem these days. The screen gets automatically aligned to 3cms left. i.e. when i tap any where, the effect will be 3cm on the left. trying align screen from settings also proves no help. Even after tapping at the perfect center of the cursor, aligning will start again from the beginning. (sometimes it even stops responding my taps) The cure i found was rubbing the screen a bit hardly with a cloth from left to right only(since the screen has aligned to left) for 3-4 times, after that the screen gets aligned perfectly as before. It happens once everyday, n everyday i spend 5 minutes rubbing n aligning it. Is it a common issue? What should i do to stop this? I need some help to prevent this from now only before it gets worser.

yea .. opera 8.65beta is almost a substitute to pc ie..supprts flash..n thus youtube...but it has a 3 months trial .. for now its fine .. may be after 3 months der will be sm crack out for it .. cos 8.65beta it not out for retail at present..

Hey hetalbhai .. the upgrade was completed with no hassels ... but im not able to run some of the programs in PPC which i was able to before ... fring and verichat gave an error that "Its not a valid Pocket PC application" ... ne ideas ?

@sunny Yea .. i had the same problem before ..it has nothing to do with AKU .. in fact .. the RUIM card was defective one . i changed my RUIM card and it was alrite .!!!
