Have already done that. The problem is only with facebook contacts. When I link any of my contact with their facebook profile it replaces their no which starts with '098xxxxxxxx' with '+9198xxxxxxxx'. As a result I am hen unable to make a call to them. However, if I de-link the contact with their facebook profile, then the phone book shows their no as '098xxxxxxxx'. Thanks Manuj Gupta

Just updated my DInc to Gingerbread through the leaked RUU update. Everything's up and running fine. Though haven't noticed any significant changes till now. The only problem I am facing after update is that all my facebook contact phone nos. have been appended with '+91' at the start. Due to this I am not able to dial the nos directly without deleting '+91'; from the start. Has anybody else also faced this problem. Please guide me as to how can I rectify this. @joshm: I too faced the same difficulty with my Pixi Plus. They gave me same crap about the security thing. But the guy in my webworld raised a compliant and told me that it would have to be done from the backend at Mumbai. HE raised a case, and finally the number was transferred. It seems that the people at webworld do not have the authority to transfer corporate MDN's, but you can definitely use corporate nos. on imported handsets. Manuj -
Hi all, The battery for my HTC Mogul has died. I tried to source it locally and bought one from Gaffar MArket. It was bad. Does not last for more than an hour after charging for the entire night. But am not interested for the extended battery. Mogul itself is pretty thick, the extended battery makes it just too thick for my liking. Thanks all for the help and the humour Finally bought this: http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400194240281&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_4278wt_1139 The glass is already attached to the front housing, so just have to change the housing. Read at lot of places that it is really painstaking to change the glass and there are generally complaints afterwards of dust coming inside. Thanks and Regards Manuj Gupta

Well this all sounds so strange after my experiences with the passport office in Delhi. Have got passports made for my entire family and never had a problem. The only problem I faced was that of standing in long queue .The entire process of submitting an application for passport took 2.5 hours for me. In Delhi the passport office is located in Bhikaji Gama Place. You have to go the back side of the office and get a token no., which is issued after they have a look at all your documents. Once that is done you go inside the passport office and just wait for your turn. They have lots of chairs and the token no. and counter no is displayed on the screen. Once your token no. is displayed, you go to your respective counter and viola, the form is submitted. I personally feel that there is nothing that agent/tout can do for your passport. Things have been really made simple. All the information is available on their website. All you have to do is to make sure that all your documents are in order before you go to the passport office. I would recommend Samsung SCX-4521F. It cost me Rs. 12100 around 3 months back. Have two of these. Are AIO (Printer/Scanner/Fax/Copier). Very good, sturdy and cost effective. Also, in this patricular model you can refill the toner yourself in less than 5 minutes. The cost of refilling comes to be Rs. 75 per refill. Manuj -

Hi, My brother is travelling next month to china. He needs to give very precise instructions to his supplier there. For this he requires a translator which can translate to english text to chinese and read it too. I can do the same wonderfully with my Incredible with data connection on using Google Translate. But he owns a blackberry. He will also be carrying his laptop. Please suggest any software which can do this offline. As all the softwares that i have found need data connection for this. Also, does any USB broadband modems provided by MTS/Reliance/Tata/Airtel, etc. work outside India. If they do then i guess he can simply use google translate on his laptop.
