ARRE how can u directly convert dollar into rs and say that will be the cost ... it will depend on various other factors also na for them 215 $ is not that much ...relative to 9600 Rs for us
-
It seems that these cuts arent goin to affect us consumers at all and if they do also it will be by a marginal extent These cuts are meant basically to increase the penetration of broadband to smaller cities by increasing profitability of the broadband players also it is slated to felp the call centers and BPO's And also to increase the quality of service Apart from the intent the private players are cribbing anyways about the ceiling price system that trai has asked them to adopt as they say that they have had to cut rates anyways coz of mtnl bsnl and they feel that in the telecom industry the price cuts should be because of competition and not this ways

Naa it wasnt blaster it was the backdoor virus that i mentioned earlier BUt the prob hasnt ended coz now the bios has been affected by the virus the computer at times refuses to boot
-
The problem has been solved It turned out to be backdoor virus afcore.bs This gives control to a malicious attacker hu can shut down the comp or delete files ... etc that is he has full control It has smhw affected pccillin as well so i ran a housecall at trend microsystems and then dnld AVG virus scanner and deleted the file tsddo.dll ehich was infected So the IMPORTANT thing is its working
-
how does that matter

i dunno if this is the right place but guys pls humour me by answering I have windows Xp for the last 3 yrs never really faced a problem except for this one Normally if there is a prob i rectify it but this one is a lil out of my control I start the computer it starts normally the blue screen comes saying WINDOWS IS STARTING then it says WINDOWS IS SHUTTING DOWN after that when i press the power button to start it again ... it turns off within 5 secs without window even loading this happens 4 - 5 times and then it doesnt start at all The only way i can start is in safe mode or DEBUGGUNG MODE in which i am currently even in Safe Mode With Networking it shuts down... but after my login is complete PLEASE HELP I have a P IV 2.4 Ghz 256Mb Ram 40GB hdd... with win XP proffessional edition

ok guys gettin back to longhorn Microsoft announced in i think december or maybe even earlier that when it releases the first version of longhorn officially they will exclude the much awaited new file system coz they feel it still isnt stable and they need to remove all vulnerabilities and hence require more time guess dont wanna screw up as the did with ME and initially wid XP anyways this yr we will get the looks but not the fs

Increase Your Bandwidth By 20%
andycool87 replied to rEdshiFt's topic in General Technical Discussion
So dacodecz if u read my post it seems u r i na way right They r not blocking the bandwidth ... they are simply prioritizing it... that is if the QOS enabled program wants to send data then it is gaiven a priority So enjoy And thanks this post has been very interesting Also i would like to add... guys take a chill pill instead of fighting with each other it would be great if all of us stuck together and found answers Keep Smiling Aman -
Increase Your Bandwidth By 20%
andycool87 replied to rEdshiFt's topic in General Technical Discussion
Clarification about the use of QoS in end computers that are running Windows XP: As in Windows 2000, programs can take advantage of QoS through the QoS APIs in Windows XP. One hundred percent of the network bandwidth is available to be shared by all programs unless a program specifically requests priority bandwidth. This "reserved" bandwidth is still available to other programs unless the requesting program is sending data. By default, programs can reserve up to an aggregate bandwidth of 20 percent of the underlying link speed on each interface on an end computer. If the program that reserved the bandwidth is not sending sufficient data to use it, the unused part of the reserved bandwidth is available for other data flows on the same host. For more information about the QoS Packet Scheduler, see Windows XP Help. Additional information about Windows 2000 QoS is available in the Windows 2000 technical library. Correction of some incorrect claims about Windows XP QoS support There have been claims in various published technical articles and newsgroup postings that Windows XP always reserves 20 percent of the available bandwidth for QoS. These claims are incorrect. The information in the "Clarification about QoS in end computers that are Running Windows XP" section correctly describes the behavior of Windows XP systems. The above 2 paragraphs are microsofts stand on QOS OK if i have understood this sm what firstly we ppl are arguing on something that isnt happening coz when they say by default ... they mean only when QOS has been enabled then by default its set to 20% Secondly according to them through windows apis u can either make programs qos enabled or if u already use qos enabled programs u can set some priority so that priority is given to those programs I hope this helps solve sm confusion -
Naa chirag i dont think thats what happened coz it stopped workin smtime in the afternoon. it worked fine in the morning. but then suddenly in the afternoon stopped.

Na i dont think thats the case ... reliance finally realised that my balance is o and now sms and rworld services a barred So its funny that though their system had realised the balance was 0 but still it allowed me to send approx 50 msgs
