  1. New Nokia 6275 @ 9,750

6275 Problem, Unable to make/receive calls My Nokia 6275 is acting up, and I am hoping someone here can provide a resolution to my problem. I have contacted Reliance Support via email, and this is a list of details I have submitted to them. However, I am becoming convinced this is more likely to be a problem with the phone itself than with the network. Reliance reports that service to this number is active, but the number cannot be reached. Phone Model: Nokia 6275 Software Version: V BL190V0400.nep; 17-10-06; RM-154; © NMP Hardware Version: 6050 Problem faced in Making Calls (Yes/No): Yes (Phone refuses to dial any numbers. All outward calls fail) Problem faced in Receiving Calls (Yes/No): Yes (All incoming calls receive the immediate response “There is no response from the number you are trying to call”). City : Trivandrum Exact location where problem faced : All locations in city and surroundings. Mentioning error message and since when : Problem started approximately 10 days ago, with the phone dropping network and calls randomly, even in areas with high signal strength. This progressed to the current status listed below. Outgoing calls Error: Call Failed (All calls) Incoming calls Error: Caller hears message “There is no response” Outgoing SMS Error: Message Sending Failed [*]If used GSK (Get started Kit)/HCC (Handset Change Card) (If yes then approximate date) : Handset changed using HCC from Nokia 3105 to Nokia 6275 approximately February 2007. [*]If Customer has visited the ASC (Authorized Service Center)in past (If yes then approximate date) : Not Applicable. All other features of the phone work perfectly, camera, music player, FM, everything. I am just not able to make or receive calls or send SMS. Anybody know what is wrong, and whether this can be fixed? As with most things that happen to me, Murphy's law applies (anything that can go wrong, will, and at the worst possible time). This thing came to a head on Saturday while I was at work (I work in a real rural area), and I cannot go to the Nokia or Reliance Service Centres till Monday. All help is greatly appreciated.
  2. Which Blutooth Device To Use With 6275?

I am using the Nokia BH-800. Although expensive, I find that is perhaps the best I have used. It is small enough that you hardly notice the wieght, and you can wear it all day with no discomfort (which is what I usually end up doing). The provided wire ear loop is also pretty comfortable. The only slight downsides I have to mention are the high price and the somewhat limited range. Other units you can try are the Nokia HS-36W (clunky after the BH-800) and one of the number of units produced by Jabra.
  3. New Nokia 6275 @ 9,750

Does anyone know how I can add Custom Caller Groups to the Contacts? The Nokia 6275 only comes with four or five, and I need a few other new ones.
  4. New Nokia 6275 @ 9,750

Got my Nokia 6275 from Minnu's Mobiles, Trivandrum about a week ago. When I went to get my account changed to the new phone, I found at the WebWorld (Kesavadasapuram) that they hadn't even started receiving them yet. Nokia 6275 - Rs. 12,000/- Nokia BH-800 BT Headset - Rs. 6,850/- 1 GB Sandisk MicroSD card - Rs. 1,200/- The phone is really great to use. the interface seems a little slow at times, but i found that i got used to it pretty quickly. The screen is incredibly clear and vibrant. The quality of the photos taken with the camera is pretty good, although I am noticing a degree of oversaturation when the flash is used. I am also somewhat surprised at the sheer volume and clarity with which it plays MP3's. By the way, I read in a number of places that the phone will not let you set MP3's as ringtones, but I was able to do it first try. Any insight on this issue?
  5. Bluetooth Headset

I bought a Nokia BH-800 to go with my Nokia 6275. What I like about the BH-800 is it's sheer lack of size. It's only about the size of an average sweet, so its really easy to carry around. It weighs only 9 grams without the wire earloop, so you won't even notice the weight. Although I would advise that you use the loop, since after a while you get so used to the headset that you won't even notice if it falls out. Sound clarity is pretty good. The only small disturbances come when the phone is in your pocket or something, or when you are a bit far away from the phone. I find that with the phone on my office desk, i can safely wander almost all around the nearest two rooms and still have the set work. Overall, it's a good choice on the comfort and performance fronts, but the price may be a little over the top for some. It cost me Rs. 6,850 her in Trivandrum. NPP
