no they dont i have enquired about it! they char u for a public ip around 6k or 10k dont know exactly i wont spend that much a yr for just a public ip if a lil bit of help from u guys and MTNL's triband will do my work

hey buddy since it would be difficult for me to actully route my pc! and u seem to have a good knowlege over it let us assume some things and get the things started sify side: ip 10.12.44.* subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway 10.12.44.1 dns 202.144.115.4 202.144.66.6 this is would be my sify config and since i dont have MTNL as of now and dont plan to install it until im dead sure that it would actully work lets assume my MTNL ip as ip 202.88.6.x <-- which is ofcourse dynamic subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway 202.88.78.1 dns 202.88.115.4 202.88.66.6 lets assume the MTNL thing and the web server is hosted on port 80 and im using no-ip client which i want to go from MTNL and not from sify servers so now after we have assumes all these things what are the actual command/s i should supply

i think the only and only reason IE has the largest share in browser market is because it comes with windows installed! i bet ya if the consumer is given a choice from the start then they will ofcourse choose some other browser may b FIREFOX/OPERA but not i repeat not IE

whateva the TECH is used thats upto the pvt companies to deside but i know one thing for sure its gonna take a long long time before every company has their own network! and if my assumptions go right min 1.5 - 2+ yrs time for a a decent city wide rollout for mumbai if they choose to have OFC's as their mode of last-mile

sify DOSE NOT provide a public ip the ip that http://whatismyip.com shows is frm where i am nat'ed. im in a internal lan no1 from outside can access my pc directly untill and unless i have the access to sify server and do some PORT forwarding i'll check the M$uck link that u gave me

bridging wont help i think it will use both the net connections! here basically i need to use only one and other only when i need to connect to my PC from out-side

1) dint had a chance to use rconnect on 6225 2) yes IR dosent work for me also 3) hey either u can be true or false ! both is not possible ! same way either u have have cheap DKU5's which generally dont have any problems or take a og from reliance cc which is a lil expensive for my use which was limited to 2 -3 times i choose for a cheap one

yup u both are right i need MTNL for dynamic public ip SIFY for regular downloads i am using no-ip since the time i was in bandra and was a powersurfer so dynamic public ip isint a problem yeah i need just to host some sites and mail server and stuff and if needed sometimes remote login and others <--- there things i have been doing since i had a net connection (powersurfer & MTNL dialup), i am having a problem with sify as i dose not give me a public ip i need a way to solve this problem
