no tanveer !! i had been using 256 mb RAM with 1.7 celeron for 2 yrs until few months back !! it worked really fine for a normal home use *no heavy games/app would work correctly though and 128 mb is minimum recommended for XP !! so u obviously have to have more ram than that for your sys to work recommendation based on ur post "At my home I have 1.8GHz on 128 MB RAM" <<< u need it for home and u don't wanna spend otherwise anujits suggestion of taking 512 ram is better
