  9. As part of the rules agreed in consortium of intellectual rights and copyrights. Information that has been published in a publicly accessible format like newspaper, if duplicated - you need to acknowledge the original source. This is mandatory - since otherwise it is considered as plagiarism (of course when you have not taken written approval for replication). To keep the forum healthy and free to opine, I would request all members to post the source of information if it is replicated from a "Recognized publisher" like a newspaper / epaper / blog. FYA : I guess this was from http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Busines...how/3254543.cms No hard feelings mate cheers karki

  11. Htc Phones - Bulk Messaging!

Some find it useful, Some find it annoying - but the fact remains that SMS is still one of the most popular ways to inform about meets / events / advertise etc ... Please note that the information discussed here is only informational and to be used for educational purposes only - Also keep in mind that you might face legal complications if the information is misused for advertising without proper licensing / permissions. I handle SMS intimation about rides organized by bombaybikers.com - a site dedicated to passionate bikers, we have above 1000 members as of today - and before every ride I had a daunting task of SMS'ing every TD&C about the meet / ride. The EC325 I used earlier took 20 numbers at a time with the default software and about 1000 with some dedicated bulk messaging software - but that was quite a task in itself to message. Yesterday I tried using the Jeyo Mobile Companion - awesome tool ... I messaged all 1000 members in about an hour - which is quite convinient for me .. but above that i could backup my SMS/Contacts etc to the PC without much ado. Pretty much like outlook. Nice tool ... search around - you'll get it. If you don't I'm just a PM away cheers karki
  12. Bombaybikers

Hi Asit, The decision to make the club a paid club is not mine it is an admin decision - hence no hard feelings at all One of the reasons why the club is being converted to a paid club is to eliminate a huge chunk of never active bikers - Also the amount paid will be used by the admin to keep spare parts / accessories as well as pay the rent for a proposed biking hub. Just my penny for thought mate cheers karki

  21. Help Needed To Choose A Bike...

Coming to bikes ... ahh .. here we're talking ... Choosing a bike is greatly self taste and riding style, it also depends a lot on the budget you aim to spend. Anyway getting down to the choices you've narrowed down to ... 1. Apache 160 RTR - a ready to race stallion from the TVS stallion with an excellent pick up, easy access to spares and repair centers in south and east india. The bike is stable on the roads, with an excellent styling and value for money. The cons would include - a little too rough tapering and issues with the stand. Some complaints about headlamps have been noted. But end of the day .. its a real nice bike. Adding a monoshock would have been better though. 2. CBZ Extreme : If you've ridden the trusty old CBZ, well thats about it with a new and better looking design. Gear to power ratio is almost the same as in the original CBZ. But yes the new styling seems to have helped the bike in fast handling, and the lower front fork spread offers a much smaller turn radius. 3. Hulk : Good at looks, but somehow it did not meet my expectations of handling at speeds above 80 cheers karki PS : Bajaj Stable has quite a number of workhorses ... pulsar and avengers are very stable and reliable as well
