Mobile Internet, Edge+gprs Is Much More Faster Than Cdma
ashoksoft replied to cmahendra's topic in Data services
I've been using the service for quite some time now ... Airtel on prepaid has something called as Mobile Office where u pay Rs. 15/- a day for unltd. browsing on comp / mobile ... I use that on my mobile .. and trust me ... the performance just rocks !!!! I download songs, movies and torrents directly on my N95 ! but somehow I did not have the same experience with dolphin (on the 400 unltd usage a month plan) cheers karki -

No Oxygen, No Water, No Land, No Light! Total Network !
ashoksoft replied to @ksh@T's topic in The Lounge
That is precisely what I'm saying ... lotsa places where all other networks have their grace ... but RIM does not show up ... Infact places like igatpuri highway on the Kalyan Shirdi Highway where I get 5 bands on hutch and 3 on airtel, I was getting NONE on Reliance ... initially thought it was the issue with the handset, but then found that anything from Kyocera to telson to PPC to what not incl nokia had the same issue ... so defnietly the network aint what is exactly on the ad.. maybe they mean that they have coverage in places with no water, electricity or food ... but in many places where all that is there .. there is no network... hehe cheers karki -
Rocking ... so that is one, Members Who I'm sure will make it a point to attend include - iceman, sadik (Munna), Chirag, StaticElectricity (provided his exams are not around), and anirudh so thats yet another addition ... rocking mate cheers karki

Hi GSV, Addressing your concern ... please read : The forum regulations : "No advertisements in your signature - If you have a site and make money off of it, don't mention or put a link in your signature. " The same can be read from the link on the top of this page .. The concerned website dealt with domain hosting and a lot more services - it aint a personal blog or a website supporting an NGO - that is precisely why it has been removed. Comparing that action akin to the way Reliance or the govt operates is quite funny ... coz somehow the govt would have let the same go unnoticed. and well we never opposed the fact that he is a honest poster - in fact he is amongst the top 20 posters on rimweb - but forum rules need to be abided to.. and you might be interested in checking the last amendment too .. : "Forum Guidelines updated on November 27, 2004 Signatures should not contain any links/hyperlinks (active or non-active) to external websites. However, links to websites related to RIMweb.com, RIMweb Affiliates, Reliance Infocomm or its associated websites, Invision Power Services, social service/charity organisations are exempted. Signatures can be no larger than 400 pixels wide and 60 pixels in height. The whole image cannot exceed more the 15 KB in file size. Be sure your signature does not go over these specifications before posting it. This also includes any text you may place around your signature. Your Signatures/Avtars will be taken off, if it abides any of the above rules, as per the decision of an Administrator/Moderator." if you have any more concerns ... maybe you can leave another message here ... or better still send me a PM .. cheers karki

For me the brand transition means a lot more .. I work with a Hutchison Whampoa group company .. 3 UK operations .. and we had quite a good amount of tie ups with Hutch in India - some good plans and the like.. yeah... even though I love the 3 flag hutch logo more than the Lets speak red voda logo. .... somehow it takes a bit to see that you are now using your competitors services elsewhere !!~ Lee Ka Shing might not find that different ... I do cheers karki

No Oxygen, No Water, No Land, No Light! Total Network !
ashoksoft replied to @ksh@T's topic in The Lounge
I have a hutch, a RIM and an Airtel that I carry all the time... other than these i have a dolphin connection (which my sis uses now) .. and well .. Reliance does have a very good voice clarity - but the claims of coverage everywhere is not exactly true ... I go for these crazy 600 kms + bike rides ... and many a times I have network on BSNL (Dolphin - roaming) but not on RIM. so well ... the service might be good in some places ... but definetly not all !! cheers ashok -
Hi Ajay, The edit was done by me when I was checking the forum for adverts etc ... was thinking of sending you a PM but could not earlier - sorry about the confusion. Cheers mate ... and thanks for understanding ashok

Another important change we can visualize would be the inclusion of Plan period locked - free handset options ... maybe like 3 years on the network ! thats a scoop ... wait for that ... probably by DEC they will have brought out their phase 1 of postpaid plans !! cheers karki

Mumbai Police To Install Keyloggers In 500 Cyber Cafes
ashoksoft replied to Arun's topic in The Lounge
LOL ani !!! guess it is time for a meet again ... long time no see. . and yeah ... that was good humor ... all money on bombs now !! hahaha !! and yeah ... u might not see me naked - but I prefer keeping my khamba inside my shirt- and no I do not want you to snoop around with any device to see what I have inside my clothes !! if it was to be shown - I would have proudly hung it outside - I've used x-ray cams before - and to my highly pervert brain - I did not have to imagine too much to guess what was where - whenever someone passed thro it hehe cheers ashok -
Mumbai Police To Install Keyloggers In 500 Cyber Cafes
ashoksoft replied to Arun's topic in The Lounge
So whats next ??? u found a bomb under a seat in the train ? - Remove the seats . Someone made a plan on the chat room from a cyber cafe - install a key logger wow !! aint it splendid ? Maybe a few days down the line we might be riding around mumbai on a bike - and one of those dumbwits might be busy watching us naked - thanks to the anti terrorist x-ray cams - and the same chap won't bat an eyelid when it comes to saying crap about Moral policing and what not! Why not reverse the roles ... I'm very worried about terrorists so can I walk around carrying a x-ray cam ? install keyloggers in all the comps i sit and work on ? and since they had quite a bit of blasts happening at crowded places - force everyone not to carry a bag - no clothes and how about standing and travelling all the way ... u might conceal a bomb under your seat right ??? OMFG !!! are we getting plain stupid now ??? for all i know and care ... someone might be busy recording my keystrokes at this very moment - and hey i want them to please read all this ... BTW .. .since the cops have already publicised it ... the terrorists might for all you know - use their laptops and prepaid GPRS connections to do the rest ... LMFAO !!! cheers ashok -
And if the flash recharge time is a concern - throw a glance at the Nikon D40x ... have found it to gimme the best - clear and crisp shots - and the flash recharge time is less than one second !!!!! the FASTEST ... even compared to a EOS 400 D from canon !
