Sure guess that can be done ... in fact I was thinking about trying one more phone with SRCP ... a video and upload it someplace ... Is there anyone in Mumbai with the nice and friendly SRCP error ??? if yes ... please buzz me back
-
Thought i could do that tonight ... but I doubt it ... I forgot the birthday of one of my old friends (and that happens to be a female) - and now I am getting battered for forgetting something like that guess what .. If I survive the crash after meeting her ... we could organize for a vid con cheers ashok

Volume controls The handset you just saw was one which was given to me to repair by one of the members who came to the meet... The display was dead, and he had taken the handset to the Kyocera ASC in vashi and in andheri, and was offered a repair for Rs. 4000/- All I did was to reconnect the display wiring (gave the board a thorogh cleaning with IPA) and heated the board too .... then I just rewired the display LCD panel. and here is the results (pooh !! 4000 worth of repair - Costed me about 250/- for the cable from a old handset which i had got for that price) here is a contact sheet !!! More soon to come

Kewl ... So what actually runs the show on the handset ? PDA .. Powered by the Motorola DragonBall processor ... or this The Phone is powered by the qualcomm MSM5100 chip ... (used in other phones too ) PS : When I got the SRCP error message - this is what I removed and re-soldered (though the MIN was corrupted, I recovered it back - thanks to the rimwebian from the Kyo ASC The PDA and the phone PCBs exchange communicate thro this --> One of the costliest phones from Reliance - at my mercy on my table The memory card reader Headset Jack Battery Charging sockets Grafitti and Keypad Features of the back Vibrator

Take it to the nearest ASC and get it reflashed (update the firmware) .. issue seems to be corruption of the firmware.. cheers ashok

Hi everyone, sorry about the short notice . the fact is that we've been thinking of organizing a Kyocera 7135 user group meet in mumbai. A lot of people were complaining about issues faced on the said handset, which can be resolved quite quickly. Tips, tricks, tools, enhancements etc will be the prime play of the meet. The meet is scheduled today evening [ Most of the Kyo users in Mumbai have been intimated already ] at 5:30 PM If you are coming over, please message / call me for venue details. It will be some eatery or some park, a place where everyone can accomodate themselves. If other handset users also turn up, we could look at issues on other handsets also.. I might carry one of my lappy's so installing apps / testing etc can also be done. Hope to see the max participation over there ... coz once the meet is over, I will be moving this topic to the Kyocera thread - with lots of changes [ a step by step tutorial ... how i repaired a SRCP error message ] cheers ashok

True ... but at that time ... my mobile did not gimme that error naa

OMG!! fuss over the spilt milk again :! there are a trillion such communities everywhere ... and trust me if u search carefully, you would see a zillion such sites state "I hate this country" and that country :! Forget it guys ... We've a respect to upkeep, those numbwits might not have a better use of their time, probably they have so much of time to sit, post crap everywhere, and design bombs... leave the dirty job to them ... Orkut is a open community, and it is practically impossible to have a cop sitting day and night to check on it ... btw just as anujit said ... "who made the mah. gov the policing authority on the net ???" and well before getting around to policing on the net, ensure safety inside the god-damn state, which they cannot !! sit back, and watch the fun as it will take ages for the issue to pass thro the court ... and by the time it is out ... the community would be rated "B"ogus lolz !! PS : Go ahead ... rate it bogus (how much more can I enthusize anyone:D)) cheers ashok

-
well rohit ... the issue seems to be with the Mode controller of the handset (which is also a issue with some versions of Nokia CDMA handsets too (eg. 2112 - after heavy usage for sometime)). Guess there was a read about a workaround on the same ... lemme see cheers ashok
