To remove the FM and music player from the wall follow the steps below 1. Expand the widgets pane - from the left of the screen 2. Click on teh music player window - and wait for a second or two till it enlarges ... 3. drag it to the widgets pane. repeat the same for FM. cheers AK

Try the age old RM-17 flash (though am not sure it'll work here ...) SIM slots can be arranged from the local market and it should be reasonable

Still no luck. Reliance claims that this can be offered only to customers who have received an SMS from them for this plan!!! The cheek!

I'd recommend the 8830 mate

Thanks a ton Jayanth. The cards arrived on saturday or sunday - but I was out of home till yesterday. It works like a charm with my unlimited airtel internet plan -
Just an urgent requirement ... I've got an event tomorrow - and will need ideas in live telecasting the event thro the internet. I just require a video stream (audio is not mandatory). I'd love it if the application / setup can record the event as well as telecast it. I'll have the following at my disposal : 1. Laptop - Dell D630 and a Compaq CQ40 2. Web Cams and a Nokia N82 (5.0 Mp with Warelex Mobiola software to use the phone as a webcam) 3. Internet connectivity thro Reliance Broadband+ / Tata Photon or the hotel's wifi. I'd love it if any other suggestions can come up. Any specific tools that might give better results - since the telecast is to be streamed to a bunch of computers connected together in my office. Cheers karki

Setup 3 grades of streaming ... 1. stream via windows media encoder 2. stream thro yawcam (nice - efficient and lightweight) 3. Streaming a video cam thro my tv tuner seems to be doing the trick. If anyone requires any assistance here ... do contact me now

INQ is made by The Hutchison Whampoa group (I work with their UK operations (3 http://www.three.co.uk )) and INQ is a handset that was designed in Hongkong - but styled and manufactured keeping the international customer expectations in view. Really awesome quality and make. the facebook integration is just awesome Happy in a way that we're getting to see these being launched in india too -
hmmm I'll still catch up with all at srinagar thinkin of riding down from mumbai love the roads too much to miss the ride again ... also rather than just touching ladakh. .. i guess a stram down ahead of Khardung-la to the Nubra valley .. penag-tso and panamik are a must. Also try to spend a while with the chang-pa tribes ... and collect wollen bounties from there camp a night on the banks of the penang-tso and capture the wild color changing landscape on camera - it'll be the most memorable experience if it can be plotted this way cheers karki

whats the expected budget ? A complete mumbai ladakh ride and back will work out to about 30k if anyone's ready to ride down from mumbai with me ... we can plan that as well

ashoksoft replied to savramesh's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
its available on airtel postpaid too ... same price. But if you want unlimited GPRS (exceeding 2GB usage a month) then for airtel postpaid the only option is the plan that I was posting about a few days back -

Logically thinking ... the app checks online with a database to check registeration... somewhere in the code execution - the instruction will move from a JNE to a JE guess a little time on w32DASM and my good old favorite softice shoud be able to work out the magic... of course .. unless the executable is compressed and uses hueristic algorthims in the validation cheers karki -
The helpfulness of manufacturer independent sync comes when you have a phone from one manufacturer and upgrade to a phone from a different manufacturer

Most of these services are very clear in their T&C - I've gone thro most before i sign up on such services Almost all of them are already reputed service providers. Cheers Karki

I've set up my entire house as a wireless hotspot ... Have an extension from my cybercafe (Airtel Broadband) and 3 different routers 2 for the 2nd floor rooms and one for the terrace room (3rd floor).... It probably costed me initially in the setup cost for the routers - and I get overlapping signals from each of my WPK2 / PSK protected routers - but the connectivity is splendid - and the best part - the plan works really economical. I had tested Tikona's service at my place - they have a limitation ... The router fit in your area will work only there .. Its not really a wireless plan outside the location where the router is fit .. I can't carry it to another place in mumbai - where there's Tikona coverage and use it either. .. They have a long way to go in these fronts .... IMHO a broadband+ plan with a reliance dongle and WiFI share from the laptop to work like a MiFI device will be a lot better than using Tikona cheers karki
