Accepted Reliance did have a real strong hold a couple of months back, which is not the situation today. A customer does not really care if he spends a few paise more if he gets value of service..... Somehow reliance is acting and exhibiting patterns suggesting .... "I have these many customers bound by a handset... so why should i worry.." but unfortunately it is not too tough to chuck a handset and look beyond it. This move by Trai is commendable! External Hard disks is surely one topic I can talk about on length.. well as far as choices go, I would suggest u to go in for the Seagate 40 GB external Mini. It is kewl, and I have not personally faced any data loss issues with it .. On the other hand, an external casing with a 160 Gb (6 Partitions), gave issues like partition missing on prolonged usage. Even my lappy is a compaq, if u see a port with the firewire icon near it, then there is firewire support on the lappy. I have tested all my lappys with USB disks so i wont comment on the usage of Firewire (though Mac entusists will still love the stuff on Firewire) Cheers Ashok

wCDMA networks like 3, allow u to even ensure Crystal Clear Video Calling (yes when u are in the Video Service Area), and 385 kbps is the bare minimum. So basically the circuit switching process is biforcated for voice and video.... utilizing the bandwidth effectively. EDGE on the other hand, allows a semi-realtime stream. so basically EDGE is better where u need to stream and DOWNLOAD a video / data before using it. wCDMA is obviously faster... more so since handsets supporting Quad-band like some sold by 3, are designed to allow both packet switching and circuit switching together... so u can have a video call, and also watch a football video downloading to ur handset! so imagine the data transfer speeds! cheers Ashok
