well consider this ... I have called up Reliance Customer Care almost 20 times in 2 days about some issue with 2 HCC's not working, and on the 21st odd call ... when I shouted at the CC guy (well someone from reliance who is my friend had got me the info about the status of my complaint)... and talked to the supervisor ... she told me that some info was to be collected! Now isn't that ridiculous? what were all the other agents doing there? eating rum pies? chairmans office on the other hand promptly mailed me with a lot of information ... and some assurance.. that sound better right? and once the service has been given, they will call up to confirm the same. So I generally give the CC a rating of 4 on a scale of 1-10. and the Chairmans office a rating of 7 on the same. Cheers Ashok

Got one of the beauties yesterday... One of our co-rimweb'ians who is working in reliance arranged one for me, nice handset (well I got it a little higher price about 6.5k). The screen is okay, I will not compare it with a 65k color screen... the camera quality is managable. IrDA does work excellently, and above all the IrDA headset is kewl. Speakerphone blasts a punch. Group SMS is supported. The mobile has 1 game : Soccer For people who have used handsets with small keypads ... this is a kewl handset! Others might find it a little annoying (my dad found it so). All other features ... world clock .scheduler. alarm. calc. etc etc .... whatever u might think of is packed in this beauty, only thing missing is the R-World. moreover since data capablities have been mentioned ... I am trying to figure out how to use that too... getting an IrDA port on my lappy asap for my experiments... Cheers Ashok

The consumer defines the company. MSN / Yahoo offered services with a feel and a deal wishing that a few customers would buy their services. Google stepped up... as a research company ... just aiming at growth. Look at the kind of service u see in their search engine, mail, mapping (google earth), Desktop Search (google desktop) and what not .... and considering the rate of growth in the last couple of months, I will not be surprised the day I switch on a comp and see Google OS booting... and well if their tie ups with SUN is to be seen ... well "G! OpenOffice" might be the next product. BTW Google also has been foraying into Mobile development, and considering the kind of geeks they are hiring (they flung my resume down the drain .... I am sure) well it will not be long when they offer competition in the hardware arena too! Cheers Ashok

well blu-ray is a technology on Pure optical media like DVD's where astounding storage capablities have been attained.. whereas this Holographic HDD seems to be something where erasure is not quite an issue.. Cheers Ashok
