well kamz... if u have a Tata / Reliance handset (Nokia) which has a slot for R-UIM card (something shaped like a SIM card, but containing values for PRL etc instead of HLR location etc... Now, since most of the CDMA operators whom we see dancing with their handsets in india, did not want the handsets to be used by other operators... so the Handsets R-UIM slots were blocked. So u connect only to the operator whose connection u have. Now if u re-flash ur Nokia handset with a firmware that supports the R-UIM module , great! u have a choice between networks just by changing ur R-UIM cards.. Cheers Ashok

Very well said Abhay .... but they offer triband using an ADSL modem, and speeds sure are competitive. Moreover the phone equipment provided (if u tick for the same on the form) can act as an incoming call device / VoIP Mic/Speaker at any time (even when u are connected) but yes ... the schemes sure need to be re-worked to get more consumers to change ISP's. well 1. Do u advertise bugs of a product u are selling ? 2. Yes, because 90% of the guys employed in a Nokia Priority point are NOT MOBILE ENGINEERS / Specialists in Mobile softwares. they are trained for hardware fiddlings. Since they are not sure about it, and since they can service the phone (or maybe overwrite the firmware) they take it with the promise of replacing the phone. 3. They might be aware ... but refer point 2. The same problem exists on some other models also (even on one GSM model of Nokia... which I saw with some employee in my new office ... where his mobile was switched off during the conference, automatically switched on TWICE when a call came..)
