try to enter 0.3333333333 coz the precision of double is architecture dependent... but I guess there was a way to mask to specific places of decimal ( we can do a formatted output thro setprecision() and setw() from iomanip ... if I am not wrong) used to code in Cpp ages ago... Cheers Ashok

Well I do not think that is a specific question .... do u want to keep a tag on the calls u receive ? if that is so ... I guess there is a log file for calls, which can be obtained using bitpim... there is a nice tutorial for bitpim and FWP by Vishal, check that out... btw using AT commands i doubt.. Cheers Ashok

hmm... what is NOTHING ? dont u see the phone ? well mate try to be more specific about the issue, does it switch on? if it does, does it show a network? are u able to listen to a ringtone? are u able to hear a call being made (try to dial the Customer Care... it is anyways something where no information can be obtained, so call them to check if the mic and speaker are working)... I do not think it is a problem with the data cable if it connects from PC, but not on laptop. It could be that the port settings on the lappy are improperly configured. It could mean that u have installed the wrong drivers on the lappy, it could mean that the mobile does not switch on to the DM mode for Pure Data Call (needed for R-Connect). Btw when u click on connect (from the lappy) do u see a call being made to #777 on ur mobile ? post more details as to the modem query response etc... so someone might help u faster Cheers Ashok

Both those nicks do not have any specific meaning, except the "x" thing as the prefix (cause I was with the xcrew). yes the analogx simple proxy is damn simple to configure also. all u need to do is run it on the server machine (set its address as 192.168.0.1, then give IP's for all clients like 192.168.0.2 , 192.168.0.3 .... 192.168.0.x) then in the browsers connection settings, just specify proxy address as 192.168.0.1 and port as 6588 Simple enuf Cheers Ashok

Ur login iD is nothing but, the name u are known around with. It is the name that along with the password authenticates u to use a service. That is true.... akshat, advertising campaigns of RIM seriously ****... they still try to save a penny worth... most of their ads are in the local trains here... and strangely ... hardly anyone bothers about them these days. Whereas most other telcos have put out banners and are making a banter about things. Even MTNL's trump has brought out a Rs.175/- refill, for 30 days with a talktime value of Rs. 55/- challenging rim's 199 offer. Marketing strategies established in the start were okay. .... but hey we need to allow globalization. No use sitting around waiting for things to happen on their own. If Reliance continues its ways, and does not allow R-UIM support completely ... believe me guys .. this is india, there are a trillion ways to get things cracking. it wont be long before someone (maybe me myself) sets up service points where u can transfer ur connection from a normal RIM Handset into programmable R-UIMs (the ones from China Unicom are amazing to play with ... that is a hint for guys interested), allowing handset portablity. Btw... I have unconfirmed reports that haier plans to launch a CDMA+GSM Dual handset for the indian market soon, when and how no idea as of yet. Reliance sure needs to loosen a few buttons and think straight. When a unified regime comes to play, do u expect Reliance to still lead a pack? With same prices throughout, and exceptionally good handsets in the backing GSM might still gain its way back... ADAE , do look into the said prospects.... yeah ! u managers from ADAE, who are on the forum (we do know a few), can take up this issue ahead.. Cheers Ashok
