Well... I would suggest u to "Chapa mar" hira panna as well as Masjid... coz I just got a Primier DC2070 for 5300. Now a 1 GB card (SD shud cost u a max of 3200- 3500) and as far as Rediff's shipments are concerned ... thatz fine ... I have ordered some video games etc from rediff before. Tell us what happened later... moreover ... something tells me that the cam u saw was in a shop in Hira Panna ... no guess, but a way feeling

Dude nice personal view, I am also not a great fan of any specific OS as such, but the newer edition of Linux sure seems nice to see, easy to install and best of all .... perfect to use ... try knoppix. As far as running Mac OSX on a non apple comp is considerd try G-Mulater, or even cherryOS (which is a platform Emulator), I use the latter ... and it is kewl dude!

The SMSC in numeric format is 3130000000, If u try to SMS it the message is "MESSAGE UNDELIVERABLE - Invalid Address" Now If I try to message my mobile number to 02231300000 then I get message sent, but no confirmation of delivery! Tried all these tricks dude! NEXT in this series : 1. How to break the 160 char. limit per SMS and 2. How to encode the messages ... so that it can be uploaded via bitpim / other softwares.

I now a days partially automate the SMS process using my computer... my mobile is almost always attached to the comp, so I type the message (re-encoded to the 160 char limit on RD2030), and after encoding with the message number in the proper format, i upload it to the mobile... Till today I used to compose 30 SMS at a time ... upload them together to the mob, and manually click on Re-Send for each. But a thought lingered ... why only 30 at a time... why not more... so herez how I went about... Still figuring this out! (black) So now this is what I did to increase the message limit (it is not directly accepted by the phone, and the moment the "00" file of inbox/outbox/unsent is changed, u will have to revert manually, Until I figure out what else is needed to be changed to support permenancy) I editied the outbox00 file to hold the message content size as 31, then uploaded another file called outbox41 and bingo ... it was in the sent ... of course I had to change message number to 31 and in the last section in the hex dump, the first hex value had to be incremented by one. I have photographed my mobile's screen to show this ... I am uploading the images here...

hmm no guess .... tried a few distros but, never for too long .... got a hell lot of doubts.. if our dear friend dacodecz is around sometime ... hope he can help me out! till date found knoppix the best ... wanted to install that, rather than use as a live cd... but the thing kaboomed... never bothered to try it again. I would be installing on a new machine altogether ...so I would love it if dacodecz could explain the installation procedures... on a new HDD (laptop - if that makes a difference) Thanks a lot Ashok

I have ... ordered 21 disks, waiting ... I got a message in my login that it has been shipped on 11th of June.... but shipping might take upto 4 weeks ... so waiting. I have also received the customs clearance letter. iii_pretender_iii has already got his copy. I opted for that odd number coz of 18 for college / friends + me PC. 2 64Bit for an AMD. Can one of u RD 2330 users confirm certain details to me .... is there a data cable port on the phone? I am asking this, coz I have not personally seen one of these handsets, and a small chat I had with one of u revealed that u do not have R-World / R-Connect on this handset, so I just wanted to know is it possible to connect the fone with a cable to the comp. Secondly, thought MMS is not available (no R-World), I would think, that instead of a encoded MMS link, u might receive the msg directly (along with the tune...) has somebody tried this out... Running short of real nice ideas, coz I have not yet seen a handset with some1 (but might get one soon for trying out ... ) Cheers Ashok

Thanks for that forward Aparna, but cud u plz forward the mail headers also ? coz u have sent a forward from ur gmail, which implies that I do not get to see the original headers, or u cud do me a favor, u cud message me from ANY FRIEND'S 2330, if only to gmail, then maybe u can message me at the id I will PM u. I tried to message myself from my friends mobile, to no avail, this was tried out in Mumbai. No guess if it is a location specific problem, or some (as usual) upgradation on their servers.
