cool, didnt knew that. Now all i need is a good quality MicroSD Card. I went to market and none of the shopkeepers had 16GB card. They said lots of problems in 16GB. 8 GB is stable. Is that true?

AKEY is not injected during OTAF? (*228)

A miss call is a miss call... not incoming call. I can even hear other person's voice for a sec when i Make a call. but then call disconnects. I tried giving miss calls to my Epic from different number. and all were missed calls... calls on epic disconnects immediately as i cancel the call from the phone i was caling. That means i dont have A-Key problem? I just got OTAF yesterday. dont you think AKEY would have been updated on my phone then? AKey calculator do not calculate correct AKEY?? PS: My network indicator bar jumps a LOT from 0 to full strength randomly and very very often. ******** Okay, now I uploaded 1X PRL ver 10005 on my phone. The signal strength is very much stable and is almost 80~100%. But still having call drop issue.

is there a way to rectify it? maybe that is the reason i cannot get 1X on my phone.

is there a way to undo this radio reprogramming process?

Oaky, another issue im having.. INSANE call drops. As soon as the person Im calling picks my call. the call disconnects and a message is displayed.. SIGNAL FADED. CALL IS LOST same thing happens when somebody tries to call me. The call is disconnected exactly on 3rd second when I receive any call. Is it because of modem version or radio version or any thing else? The signal strength indicator keeps on jumping from 0 to full strength randomly all the time. PRL: currently im on 10005 PRL. Okay tried EE03, EF02 and again back to EC05 modem. Problem persist in all of them.

'(apostrophe) It changes the cell format to TEXT. Numbers are read as TEXT, and u cannot add/multiply.. etc.. but I guess you dont need any mathematical calculations. So go ahead with '(apostrophe)

Yes DK bhai, I did the same. After that I posted the QPST screenshots yesterday on Epic thread. There you can see that my MDN and HSR id is written successfully. Still dunno why data not working.

Select cell > Right CLick > Format Cells > Category (Number tab): Custom > Type "00000000000" (Eleven Zeroes) Now when you type 1 it will be displayed as 00000000001 If you type 123 it will be displayed as 00000000123 If you type xxxxxxxxxx it will be displayed as 0xxxxxxxxxx (x is a number) Hope that helps.

LOL i had the same problem, and got it solved today. Dont worry. Its not a big problem. Do the following.. Go to any web world near your place. Tell them that your phone is acting funny. No calls or SMS. Show them that when you dial *228, it says "phone is already been activated" but you cant make or receive calls. They will file a complain, give them your alternate mobile number. After few hours you will receive a call from network department in Mubai. They will ask you to dial *228, and Voila... your phone will be up and running. Gud luck. PS: After getting your voice/sms on. Please let me know how you gonna solve your Data part coz i cant PS: After activating your phone calls, take a backup of your NAM1 settings using CDMA Workshop. Oo cant get the data working "Please check your connection settings". I followed the same steps which I did last time (devalap method). But still cant get the data (1X) on. Is there any other way? but he programmed this phone for me when i purchased it from him. is it something which is updated when i used HCC card to transfer my number? should I transfer my number again to any other phone first and then back to this phone using HCC? That way my phone will start working? 1) MIN is mobile number specific? or Handset Specific? or just any random number calculated at service provider's end? 2) When we move to a new handset, and we activate the handset using *228, does OATF program the phone and insert all the necessary parameters.. MIN, MDN, SID MCC ... etc..?? OATF occurs everytime when phone is activated using *228?
