The triangle is gone. but still i cant make/receive calls. Signal strength is also very random.. mostly 0 or 2 bars... sometimes it bumps to 100%.

Okay, I unbricked Epic. thanks to Blackberry. (Now I officially love in love with BlackBerry). The data cable of Blackberry which i borrowed from my friend did the trick. Flashed odin with Repartition/Auto Reboot/ F. Reset Time / Phone EFS clear all checked. But now problem is when phone was on, i see a small triangle above the Signal Strength notifier. When i try to make a call.. i cant. When i try to call my number from another number, it says my phone is switched off. I even tried *228.. and it says my number is already been activated. I think i need to install something more. Gurus, please help. PS: I would like to repeat... Im in love with blackberry. it saved my phone.

yep tried all these. but my stubborn laptop does not recognize the device on any of the ports. uninstalling / reinstalling drivers, restarting PC.. tried all that. but still having the same problem. moreover I also tried on desktop using XP & Win 7. my phone is recognized by only 1 out of 4 USB ports. That too with Stock USB cable. (Not with Chinese cable i purchased yesterday). And when flash stock using Odin, it freezes at some point or the other and Screen of the phone goes off or sometimes green. ****** On pressing power on botton or Volume Down+Cam+ power button.. NOTHING HAPPENS. However I can boot into Download Mode (on battery only). 1) Computer do not recognize USB Drive. (tried uninstalling drivers > rebooting > reinstalling > rebotting ) still USB device not recognized. Even tried with different USB cable. And different ports. 2) However I managed it on my other computer. Where only 1 out of 4 USB port recognize my device. 3) Tried Odin to flash EC05 Stock... It hangs at some place or the other, and screen goes off or some times green (very rare). 4) Phone do not restart in Download mode without battery. I tried to boot download mode without battery (plugged into computer).. but it wont. Battery+USB = phone wont boot in download mode. Phone boots to download mode only on Battery. After that If i plug in the phone and remove the battery.. screen still stays on. ******

My phone is bricked. USB device not recognized... (DOwnload Mode) Unknown device. I tried 2 different data cable. Win 7, Win XP, Different USB Ports but no use. My phone is not recognised by Windows. is it problem of the phone?

i think i've bricked my epic I was on SRF1.2 with purple CWM first i had problem reading SD card on my laptop. formatted it using CWM. but no use. Then I replaced my SD Card card to 1GD which i already had. it worked ok. but then I decided to go back to Stock Rom. so I wiped all data, and went for stock using Odin. but my Odin hanged at many stages.. some times hanged at .. Setup connection some times it hanged at .. data.rsf some times it hanged at .. factory.rsf then i searched XDA fourm. and a thread said to check all 3 options in Odin: repartition, auto reboot, reset time but odin hanged at set partition .. DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!! googled and tried all methods.. but odin cannot flash stock rom Please help

Yeah. These days blackberry bling factor is over. But apple iphone is apple iphone. 90% of people don't even care about what hardware is inside. Most people wants either the latest most expensive nokia handset or an Apple iPhone. (gadget geeks are exceptions but they are very very few in numbers). Thats the reason why resell value of an iphone is so good compared to any other phone in the market. For example in india most people think.. Iphone>htc>samsung No matter whatever smartphone one may buy. But imo 75-80% people use them for for calls, sms, music/fm player amd facebook ( youngsters). Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

currently Im having lot of problem with call drop, sometimes when i make/receive a call.. after some times the other person stop hearing my voice. i can hear other person's voice clearly.. but he cannot hear my voice in mid of the call. is this because of 1005 HSD Prl? will reprogramming radio solve this problem?

i think battery drain is more on SRF1.2 than on stock. anyone else using SRF 1.2 like to share their battery info?

when using CDMA Workshop 2.7 when i send SPC to phone status bar says: Failed... Phone does not answer. but when i write NV, using the TXT file. it says "You must send Current SPC to phone before write NV items. But when i do it twice, it successfully writes the NV items.

Installed Syndicate Frozen Rom 1.1.1 installed Syndicate Frozen Rom 1.1.1 after spending hours backing up apps and contacts and linking all contacts manually..... figured that microphone didnt worked Microphone issue : I can hear the caller's voice... but caller cant hear my voice. @ dipan bhai yeah i used mybackup pro. it showed 13xx contacts (98% of them were repeat from my 2 google accounts) rest 2% were saved in my phone's memory. so had to link them manually took lot of time. my backup pro restores apps to main memory only. so when memory gets full, you have to manually move them to sd card one by one. then again run mybackup pro to restore rest of the apps which will eventualy be installed into main memory .. and again you have to manually move it to SD card. Wish there was a one click Solution

yeah, now even I find google sync the best tool to take backups for contacts. but how to get backup of those contacts to google account which i saved only in phone's memory?

Thanks dipan bhai, this is what i do.. created a Titanium backup pro created a clockwork mode backup installed Syndicate Frozen Rom 1.1.1 (xda) (based on EC05) tried to restore apps/data from titanium backup pro.. but it got stuck every time i run restore (missing apps + System data) only 1 app used get installed and titanum backup progress bar froze. so now im back to my stock EC05 (restored from cyanogem mod) untill i figure to restore apps/contacts/sms from stock to syndicate

nandroid will also backup the SMS and contacts saved in phone and other app cache?? what is "Modem"? Why do we need modem? in the video you posted, the guy talking about EE03 Modem, EC05 Modem ...... Sorry, im a noob and had been too lazy before to know more about flashing custom roms. but today im in full mood to learn it all as much as i can thanks to your easy compiled guide dipan bhai gwad... i miss my BlackBerry... every thing was so easy with it most of the videos it says to use different cable coz samsung stock cable which comes with epic is having problems. is that true? shud i go and buy different cable tomorrow before flashing any other ROM?
