I still like the Incredible... 1) Slim & Light 2) HTC's quality. 3) Nice battery life.. with moderate usage. I use my phone mainly for calls and chats. and e-mails (only when i travel). Though a physical keyboard is a + point for Epic and a necessity for a person who does chatting on phone like me, but that makes the phone Bulky. I can remember the days when i used to carry 6700 in my pocket and took me like 30sec to get it out of my tight jeans and by that time... the caller hung up the phone .. hehehe So slim and light is the way to go!!!! i am open to offers where i can get some xchange deal for incredible against my BB9550 hehehe. i know thats not gonna happen. Evo too is a great phone, but batter life is really a problem. i mean if you want to use a phone which is always plugged in with a charger... then its as good as good old landline phone but there are + points too... You can use it to cover your head when it rains, you can hide your face and with it and sneak out when your wife sees you with your secretary in a shopping mall and the list goes on

i think i'll rather wait for verizon to release their official OS for BB9550

Thank you for your reply Hitesh bhai. but people in crackberry said that they can type sms of about 160X6 chars. this is the version im uploading on my BB 9550AMEA_PBr5.0.0_rel1612_PL4.2.0.427_A5.0.0.983_Inland_Cellular but im cant see it in my BB is it because its a Verizon Device??

^^ like to add to my above post... while uploading the OS, i can see the list of apps which was previously installed in my device. which files to delete after uninstalling Desktop Manager and OS files??

I downloaded the latest official of OS for BB 9550 by Inland Cellualr. version 5.0.0.983 when I installed it in my computer I saw a file named "VZNavigator.alx" and after uploading the OS (by wiping my phone) when the phone starts the wallpaper is of Verizon Wireless. is there something wrong in my system? was there something i overlooked before cleaning the old OS files from my computer? i uninstalled OS and Desktop Manager both and deleted the RIM folder. but i can still see VZNavigator.alx files when i installed the OS files on my computer. if someone knows about it, please shed some light! Note: after uploading the new OS on my phone. i noticed the change in boot screen, but my sms were still limited to 160 char only whereas people say that they can type sms as long as 160 X 6.

Desktop manager is not the OS of your Phone. It is a client to connect your BB device to computer and let you make Backups and load apps on your BB Device. OS and Desktop Manager are two different things. you can use the latest Desktop Manager without changing the OS of your device.

Yesterday I activated Vodafone BIS service for a week. I received a message.. From: BlackBerry Registration <date & time> Your handset has been reistered with the wireless network. After this i can download apps from blackberry app stores, i can surf the internet on my blackberry device. But whenever i went to.. Menu>Setup>E-mail settings.. it said .. conntcting to email settings.... after a while i received this message... Your device is not registered, please go settings or Options > Advance options > Host Routing Table Press Menu > Register Now I did the same, and agian i received the above mentioned message .... From: BlackBerry Registration <date & time> Your handset has been reistered with the wireless network. .... again tried to setup emial seetings, but same error is shown. please help, how to resolve this issue?

^^ You can try Gaffar market in Delhi! there you can find almost all models of Sony at very nice price. If you want I can give you a shop's name and contact number . his prices are 500rs more than other in gaffar but very reliable person. I personally bought 1 Sony Wega (CRT), a Sony handycam, 2 LCDs (one sony other samsung), 4 Ogeneral AC from him and refered his name to my fren as well. You can rely on him, and visit his shop and check the product yourself before buying!

Wildfire is not available officially in India?? iirc HTC Tattoo was available @ 13-14k (officially with warranty). Wildfire is Successor of Tattoo so must be priced in the same slot of 13-14k (officially). Though the BIG question is whether it is available officially or not in India.

yeah, home UPS is the best solution. I use Luminous brand home UPS and absolutely not having problem since last 5 yrs. but had to change the battery once after 3 yr

HTC Tattoo might come into your budget! cheapest android phone by HTC... @ around 14k. but please check current prices. these prices which i heard long ago, so current prices might be lower. amoled screen itself is expensive so amoled phones are expensive ones, this is the reason you wont find any amoled screen phone in that budget.

hehe i was having same problem but just the opposite i can use Gtalk and yahoo and can surf internet. but cannot get mails working

you have to enable Data Service in Manage Connection options + wifi on... then you can browse the internet on hotspot browser. i was doing the same mistake. BB by default prefers Wifi>BIS>TCP/IP (though would like senior members to confirm it)
