Is it true that on Reliance or Tata, BIS services or Rs.299 Email n msging only service cannot be activated on Imported CDMA handsets of Blackberry?? is it possible on GSM handsets?? I wanted to swtich to Blackberry, and was waiting for Bold 9650 (aka tour 2) to be launched. But if BIS is not possible on CDMA handsets I guess then I'll go for Bold 9700. (GSM). Though I'll miss cheap Roaming calls on CDMA which really is a boon for me, as I have t travel a lot, about 4~6 months out of 12. :'( :'( :'(

I would like to share my experience with airtel's buggy network Hehe about 7 years ago, i had Airtel delhi Prepaid Connection which i took to Karnataka on roaming as I god admission in a engg college over there. there my all out going calls became free. i had Rs.137.5 as balance, and it never changed. and this went for like 2months untill my validity was about to end, and I asked my brother in Delhi to recharge the phone for me After few months i revealed this to my friends. lol. they all were amazed how can i talk soo much almost 7~8 hrs a day that too on Roaming. lol People used to ask me how this happened, and I always replied "Magic hai to mumkin hai" (Magic was brand name for Airtel Prepaid in those days. and "magic hai to mumkin hai" was their punch line. lol

I am thinking of purchasing a brand new mobile handset from E-bay(USA). Does anyone can tell me what is the process of paying custom duty and what percentage on billed amount do i have to pay as custom duty and octori duty or any other charges??? Is there a different duty structure on second hand mobiles??

Eew that really s**ks, China mobiles have given huge competition to all the branded mobile phones. nokia low end mobiles sales have gone to almost zero because of super low cost china phones. And now they bribe the berucrats to ban the imports of China Mobile Phones. thats very unhealthy. Why dont they come and compete side by side with China Mobiles. If they price their products reasonably, I am sure people would like to buy more of Branded goods and wont mind to pay little extra. But when the difference is so HUGE. why wont consumer prefer china mobiles. This is not a healthy competition. But missuse of post and power.

But my friend is asking How can he get best bargain so that he can buy Bold 9700(without any contract) @ cheapest price possible in US. because people in E-Bay sells BB Bold 9700 (Unlocked) at the price ranging from 370~450$. How come they get so cheap, where as he called to a AT&T store and they quoted him 449$.

Ive been using airtel broadband since many yrs, but never once i got any kind of discount, my current plan is 649 unmilited please tell me how i can also get benefits of discount on bill. simply ask them to disconnect the service they will give you some retention discount Ask who? I think Airtel's automatic speed upgrade is only for www.youtube.com/ipl Other site even other vids of youtube will be streamed on normal subscribed speed. Source: Airtel.in

I went to Reliance WebWorld in delhi few months ago. They said that they do not provide any EVDO services on phones, and they dont see it coming anywhere sooner. I guess its because of the stupid delay of 3G spectrum auction. The GSM companies making political pressure on TRAI so that to stop Tata Indicom and Reliance to not to give EVDO services to their customers untill they get their share of 3G spectrum. Dontknow why TRAI is delaying such matter since one year. Last year there were rumors that in 2009 3G spectrum will be auctioned. But now there are Rumors that 2011 is when they gonna do it. It's the curroupted corporate and political policies due to which we consumers are suffering.

I suggest that the person having years old account in this forum should also be allowed to start a Topic in Buy/Sell thread. There are many people who do not change their cell phones every month. I bought a PPC 6700 three years ago, then to enhance my experience of my phone, I took help from members of this forum. As after that i did not wanted anything extra from my phone, I was pretty inactive. Now I'm interested to change my handset for which I need help of this forum again. there must be people like me in this forum who are not much like techie like people who keeps them updated with the latest technology. So they come and make use of this forum only when needed. I really appreciate the hard work of the people behind this forum. I suggest that people having years old account should also be allowed to make use of Buy/Sell forum. There are people who just make a new account for the use of only buy/sell forum. Which in my opinion is not the right thing to do. Rest all depends upon the moderators and admins. I hope they will take the right decision in the interest of our community. In the control pannel/user profile section is it possible to show the posts and topics which are still pending to be approved by the moderators and admins?? It's really worrying sometimes that a user posts a reply or topic but it never shows anywhere for days. Atleast the user can know that his topic and post is still taken into consideration and will be executed soon. Just a suggestion to make this forum much better.

Can anyone give me Hetal's Aku 3.5.4.c or any better ROM which i can upload to my PPC6700? My PPC was resetted by the Service center. They erased my current ROM(i.e. hetal's aku 3.5.4) and put original which came from the company's default . Please help!!!!
