Is it safe to Flash Nexus4G modem on Epic 4G when using on reliance network?

I cant purchase it from my Debit card, even my credit card is not being accepted at Google Wallet/Sygic Website (i.e. PayPal ). Please suggest me a BASIC Dual Sim (both GSM) phone. I had Nokia X1, but unfortunately lost it It was a great phone, BIG battery, Good Looks. good sound quality. Now X1 is not available in the market. So I purchased Nokia 101 last week. And I'm not happy with it. If somehow I manage to ignore how ugly it looks, but its almost impossible to ignore poor sound quality. You can feel the vibration on back of of phone due to sound coming from the speaker when you talk on the phone. Please suggest me a good decent handset with good Voice Clarity and BIG battery. Budget around 2k+/- Dont need camera, SD card and other stuff. I need to use it for voice calls and occasionally for sms.

4MP camera of HTC One can match 13MP of S4? I've seen pics comparison on gsm arena. I think pics taken by s4 is better than One or i5. But I'm a layman when it comes to cameras. Guys, do you use jelly Bean ROM with this phone? If yes, then which one? Also I find difficulty installing Nexus4G modem on this phone. Tried all methods as mentioned on XDA, but failed . I must be doing it wrong. Any suggestions which might help me?

Yep, seems like you need to reprogram your handset again. Normally flashing rom don't change data settings. But if you flashed cm9+ you do have to flash alternate carrier fix to enable data on your handset. Sometimes people get confused it with handset problem, and mess with their data settings. Just now I came back from Reliance Web World. The guy who was sitting on the desk recognized the handset. he checked about my number in his system, and showed me that Intenrnet is Active on my number. He ruled out any problem at reliance's end. he said that the problem is basically in the handset and not with Reliance's Network. Got a phone from Reliance Technical dept.(Mumbai). First that person thought I had problem with GSM settings, when I told him that I am using Imported CDMA handset, then he said that there might be something wrong with the handset programming. Everything is okay at his end. Settings>About Phone> Status> Mobile Network State ... "Disconnected" I dont understand what could possibly be wrong in my handset settings. One moment it was working perfectly fine, other moment Internet is gone. Now i officially need some help with it.

Another issue now I see is when I checked my settings thru QPST Service programming... Under PPP Config tab UM > User ID: (my phone number) AN > User ID: (my phone number) .... previously i remember it used to be my HDR Username/Password. But now there is only my Phone number. Gurus of Rimweb! Kindly please help if you can! Edit: Flashed my old PPP dump file. Now settings seems fine. Now my HDR username is displayed under PPP config>AN tab. But my 1x/EVDO is still not working.

Neither 1X nor 3G symbols are shown on the Notification Bar. Voice calls and SMS are working perfectly fine. Its only the Internet it cannot connect to. I use my MDN to connect, (not RWorld username/pswd). Yesterday I filed a complaint to Reliance CC and they said that they will solve my problem in 2 days. But credibility of Reliance CC has always been in doubt. My phone (Epic 4G) is on People's Rom V 2.22, (Gingerbread 2.3.6) PRL: 10005 Modem/Baseband: FC09 Is there a problem from back end or with my handset? I tried making a Dialup connection on my Windows 7 laptop. Dial: #777 Username: (My phone number) Password: (Same as above) The error message shown is: "Error 678: The remote computer did not respond. To make sure that the server can be reached. ping the remote computer" Update: I went to different locations in Delhi. Also went to Gurgaon. But my net still didn't work (neither 1x nor EVDO). So problem seems to be with my handset. Don't know what could have gone wrong! At one moment it was working fine, next moment it stopped working. Should i visit reliance web world? Can they solve my problem?

I've filed a complaint with customer care. They asked me for my handset model (I said Samsung Galaxy i500) and it's RSN number and said that my complaint will be resolved within 2 days. Hope they could help. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2
