hey ppl, does anyone know how to switch off the backlight when listening to songs in R world ? it seems to drain the battery real fast ... i've tried switching off the backlight under the display option, it still gets on when i'm listening to songs ... any idea how to get about it ? bye

Buoyed by the run away success of RCV199 which was launched in September 2004, Reliance Infocomm was keen on introducing a new variant to meet the needs of a growing segment of low-end customers who need to stay connected but don't have much outgoing call requirements. Hi ppl, Have any of u tried using yahoo messenger thru ur phone ? There is an option in R world > More services > Surf > Mail and chat > Yahoo messenger. C if it works ... it logn in fine and even messenger says "I'm on mobile" when u log in thru ur phone ... the problem is u cant send messages and receive messages ... if someone's got any ideas ... i'm waiting. .. bye

Yeah, thats right. if you notice carefully, there's a small hole at the somewhere near the bottom of the battery. you'll find red crosses inside. seems if it comes in contact with water, the paint turns pink. that's whats probably happened ...

Have any of you people been successful in getting the Yahoo formatting bar which shows up when you compose a new message ? Its visible when I'm using IE but has never shown up in Firefox. Any solution to this problem ?

did u access your mail through firefox ? try through IE and see if it shows up. 'cause even when you try accessing yahoo mail through firefox, it never shows the toolbar which has the formatting options like bold, italics etc whereas IE displays the toolbar.

actually this is not the only slide - i remember seeing quite a few two years ago. the one you're seeing is nothing - you have to see the others to freak out !!

its not only with reliance - it's very common in India. people who are meant to serve you actually behave like your boss ... its sad but true. what you said is absolutely true - people at the WW's and especially the CC are not upto the mark.

its an infra-red sensor - it possibly cant picture the human without his clothes !! all it can do is probably give an outline of his/her structure and definaetly not just "take his clothes off" !!!

i have the buggy moonlight and i face the same problem ... the word "unbill" doesnt seem to get registered in the dictionary! the only way of getting around this problem is to store this word in a template (dont know whether 2030 allows you to edit templates ... does it ?)

i've noticed the same thing happening on my mom's phone ! it displays Chennai and the light glows for about 5 seconds !!! guess its just a bug they havent really bothered to get fixed ... what else could it be ?!

hey vishal, i seem to have a problem. i tried out your procedure twice and both times i got an msn account with only 2mb of storage cant figure out where im going wrong. but there was an article sometime back which said microsoft gave these huge accounts to customers free of cost by mistake when they registered and then these accounts were reverted back to their normal size. has anybody else tried ?

people ... u gotta try out OPERA !!! i have firefox and opera installed. opera makes better use of tabbed browsing, i find it so much faster than IE and a bit faster than firefox too !!! download the whole version with the java support.

its happened so many times on my 2030 - im sure other users have experienced it too. to temporarily get rid of the problen, clean your contacts of both the battery and the charger with a mild alcohol solution or even deo and you wont have the problem for some time !!!

hey Chirag, i've been using the budget 249 plan which has 150 of talktime bundled and i pay Rs 399 per month.... i called up customer care and they said there was no reduction of tariff in this plan .. and now ur saying this whole plan has been withdrawn are you sure ? even last month i got billed for budget 249 ... dont tell me i have to shift to the crappy joy 399 and talking about international sms rates, aernt DAPO users charged the same 3 Rs per msg that we normal users are charged ?? 'cause u had said in the previous post that DAPO users enjoy the lowest SMS rates ... ??

looks pretty cool ... navigation is so much easier compared to the earlier flash type interface ... its a lot more user friendly now
