hey ppl ... i would suggest all of u who are interested in going in for this model, wait for some time. all of u are familiar with RIM's policy (screw the good guys, encourage the defaulters ). the price of this handset as i see it will definately come down in another two months ... that's what also happened with the other b/w models ...

that could be a reason - but i frankly believe that's not possible on our RIM handset batteries !!! when we dont have decent power, where is the question of reserve power !!!???!!!

when ur cleaning the battery contacts, be sure to use a little alcohol - actually deo spray would be just fine. spray some onto a paper and clean the contacts when the paper is still wet - it'll definately help

there's no way u can reverse a chemical reaction in the battery by punching in codes its probably a code which makes the batter level indicator display all the bars ... cant be anything more than that ... definately not a solution to the cumbersome charging process ...

i think its high time ppl learn to put up with competition ... else just retire from the scene ... i dont think reliance will back out ...

hey ... the best thing to do would be to go to the service centre, shout at the guys there, make them realise the problem and get it fixed ... u need to buy a lot of time ... those dumb ***** will take an eon to understand what exactly the problem is all the best

hey ... ur problem is unheard of anyways, when u save a GSM phone number, jus save it with the 098 format ... dont add the 0091 format as the phone automatically recognises the 0091 format when u get a msg ... about that particular RIM STD no., could u gimme more details ?

theres a new friendship day app ... u can find ppl and msg them ... the msg's dont seems to be going though ... it keeps getting stuck and says "Loading ... please wait" ... has anyone been able to msg across this thing?

hey ppl, try this out ... call anybody from your contact list ... suppose u call salman and talk to him for 10 mins, it shows in ur dialled call list. now suppose u wanna call him up again and u again dial his no, and now u talk for 15 mins, the 10min call history gets replaced by the 15 min call and it shows salman only once ... what i wanna know is whether it happens to all u ppl or is it a bug on the older versions of the fone ? i wanna keep a tab on my usage ... this becomes quite irritating when i wanna call the same peron twice ina row !!

hey aman, i jus tried opening my Gmail account ... opens fine. but i havent got any of my mails which i forwarded and subscribed to ... no incoming messages its like its in a state of dormancy ... messages which i send seem to be going ...

now that u've mentioned it, Chirag ... thinking of it, i think the LG programers have something wrong somewhere for a person who wants to keep a tab on his bills, this overwriting or space saving feature is total havoc ... cant understand why they had to remove the overwrite feature in the missed calls list i mean, how does it matter how many missed calls a person gives ? its definately less important than received or dialled calls ...

no idea on bitpim ... i've used it several times on the 2030 to upload ringtones and wallpapers ... not an expert though u prolly have to ask static or code to do some research for u

hey ... is the prob still occurring ? i have a software called print master pro ... i run it in this compatibility mode ... but when i shut it down, it still remains in memory ... so i either have to restart or open the task panel (Ctrl + Alt + Del), search for the program and shut it down before opening it again ... this could be ur problem ... probably it hasnt gone from memory so did u try it out after restarting ? also make sure its not starting during startup ... ALL the BEST !!!

ok .. wouldnt know about the installation part ... but about the dll's ... u probably have it hidden. go to the view option in windows explorer and folder options ... tick the show all files option and u should be able to view all the dll's ...

try changing the properties of the link starter executable file ... change it to make it run in a windows 98 environment ... just give it a try and c if it works right click on the exe file, goto properties, goto the compatibility option and change it to windows 98 ... jus give it a shot ... thats how one of our users made R Conenct work in windows 2003

its better u get ur software updated ... anyways for the time being, first plug in the charger and switch it on ... then connect it to the phone after switching on the phone. when this is done, the backlight turns on ... all u have to do now is to press the END button once ... wait for 10 seconds and the backlight turns off ... but u have to do the whole thing in the order i've mentioned .. only then will the light go off ... but when u find time, get the software updated

the 2030 displays all the tags such as urgent and has the 160 limit !!! could be the mms thingy then ...

hey gary, even the moonlight aka 2130 has the same problem ... and there's no solution jacob got an upgrade but the message length remains the same (140) ... dont know why LG had to step down from the 160 to 140 count ... something fishy !!!

hey Dhananjay, it was working sometime back ...all u had to do was dial *444 to activate it ... and ppl at the customer care desk dont know what they're talking about ... the roaming thing was off long time ago ... there is no need to activate roaming by dialing *444

if u got the travel charger with the kit reliance gave u, then it surely supports autocut ... once the light on the charger turns green, it stops charging ... although i've always wondered what the amber stands for ... the moment u switch on the unit ... it displays three colors - red, green and amber

jus tried opening the mms application ... there are two options > music greetings and only pictures. in the music greetings section, it gives a picture with a ringtone attached ... couldnt figure out how to change the music ... the picture section displays only a picture and there is no option of attaching a custom music file ... i dont have my RD 2030 with me rite now .... so will need someone to send me a custom ringtone or a picture (im using a 2130) ... my no is 04432863027

i just went and clocked my download speed on download.com and it gave me a speed of 59.6 kbps according to the site !!! im using the 2130 .... someone with the 2030 pls check up and let me know how it fares ... now that there is no monthly tariff, i dont have to deactivate ... such a relief ...
