hey chirag ... tried out that yesterday but didnt work ... interestingly i have an sms from customer care saying my std is activated (i called up yesterday and requested) ... and now its showing all the names so i presume its because it had something to do with recognising the format since std was not activated ... anyways ... thanx guys another intersting fact ... it displays the number if the 0091 format is stored in the mobile field ... if stored in the other numbers field, it refuses to identify the number in the sms !!! bad programming i guess !!! wish they would take more ppl like static in their group

ur rite arun ... the phone book updation facility seems to be a smart move ... it'll save us so much time ... but i have a feeling all this is going to happen after june 30th ... ppl will then be forced to use R world ! dont know what 2230 owners will do ! and according to the info that was given, uploading takes an average of 3-5 mins and the same goes for downloading the updated phonebook ... but considering the rush at that time ...

uploading is a very time consuming process ... u'll be spending quite a lot i'm talking about ur phone bill ! a better solution would be to call these computer guys ... they have an external CD writer, all u have to do is take a backup of whatever you want and moreover, u wont be spending too much

its gone no longer there ... it said it was just on testing basis or something ...

as far as i know, theres no way u can sort the list ... one thing u could do is use the right shortcut key which gives u the names in ascending order ... thats the only way out or u manually have to sort it by changing the numbers (entries as the phone calls it)

wish they had the details on their site ... i keep getting a message saying "incorrect server id! " ...

niket, how do u use the card? is it like recharging a prepaid ? do u have to type in any code of any kind ? and do u have to do anything before dialing a number ? because if u dial a US number from a normal postpaid, its Rs15.99 rite ? so how do u make sure ur using the card ?

hey dude ... go through the posts above... there's already a discussion reg this topic ... the card slot is for RUIM which is disabled and not for a SIM card as someone mentioned ... it cannot be converted to GSM as far as i know ... its just a rumour

hey arun, i've experienced this problem a couple of times ... the call timer either gets reset when u d/c or shows some time which is lesser than what u've spoken ... the other day i was talking to friend of mine for 35 mins and when i disconnected it showed 17:05 ... but the thing is i've got charged for 35 ...

hey ppl !!! try this out ... its a fact that in the older versions of the LG 2030, the backlight remains on during charging when u use the travel charger ... today morning, i was charging my fone and i had to search for some contact ... so i went to names > find > and when i was noting the number the backlight got switched off ... when i pressed to END button and came to the main screen, the backlight remained on for the usual 10 sec and now its off again ... guys, try it out and tell me if it works on the 2130 model ...

i frankly dont think their strategy is going to work this time !!! ok ... wht is reliance going to do with the b/w mobs ? i dont think they can do anything with it ... dont c the probability of anyone going in for a second hand b/w... so this means they're still making a lumpsome profit by selling the color ones !

i think its just a way of getting rid of those plain color mob's because the average user would go in for these ... prob they're all outdated and nobody buys these anymore ... now that they've come wit this offer, v can expect the prices of the color handsets to crash ...

he's probably got a more recent version of the software on his phone it could be one of the resons why the message shows up each time he connects his earpiece. "gsmsikar" could u tell us ur software version ur using on ur phone ?

how can u call it a PHOTO caller id when it displays the same photo each time u get a call ? its the most stupid feature ive ever come across !!! makes no sense at all !
