My suggestion, go complete stock first by flashing the stock tar file using odin, preferably bob7 as you mentioned earlier. After that, use galaxy tool, it should work as I heard that they have updated it to be used with lollipop. Please always take your efs backup before tinkering anything with your phone. Too many questions but let me try my best to answer that. 1. Hotspot was and always will be tricky thing on imported handsets as US carriers are very particular about their network might be misused. Your best shot lies with custom ROM in which mod those settings and enable the settings. So, once a new update comes over, wait for sometime to mod it and provide a custom ROM. Look out for hotspot in their changelog which will help you. 2. I myself using N4 and I didnt experienced any issues with the GPS. May be the specific handset has some hardware issue. Hope it helps.

Happy Independence Day! Ok, I know my English is not that great and I also have a very limited knowledge, I have a simple point to made. They know that they are the only one as of now who are on 4g(they have not invented 4G) and with full conscious they have launched this campaign. Would they had launched similar kind of campaign if other telecom operators are on 4G? Would they have allowed their 2G network to be compared with 3G network? Their clear intent is to exploit the situation where they are able to launch few months ahead of other telecom operator. Now, if after few months, when other operators are too on 4G and at that time, they invent something which gives them more edge against others and at that time, they launch this campaign, that would be more prudent. Chota sa logic tha mera, likh diya, baki apke supercomputer brain ke bade bade logic ke samne kaun khada reh sakta hai!

You can consider upgrading as Note 4 has better specs and AMOLED screen is amazing. 1. GSM Unlock is possible. NV cl-oning not possible IMO. 2. Hotspot is available in any of the custom ROM, otherwise I have posted 1 app in the Must have app thread which can be used to get hotspot. 3. Not aware. Let me know if you get this info. 4. Its better than M8. 5. Yes. 6. I havent faced any dialer issue. 7. Not aware. For CDMA, its working fine. 8. Not possible IMO.
