  1. Money Manager - Online/ Offline

Intuit has very limited tie ups. Artha has very wide range of it. Though layout of intuit is much better than artha since intuit has international background. I read the privacy and security policy of both, seems fine. This is the age of cloud computing, so have to believe them. I feel my life would be more disastrous if someone hacks to my email account rather than financial information.
  2. Money Manager - Online/ Offline

Yes, I am using this and seems quite impressive as it includes vast range of vendors from almost all the banks to MF, LIC, mobile service providers, etc. Though I feel the the layout can be improved a lot to draw some meaningful summary of spendings. I am using this just to view balances of all my accounts rather than logging in various sites.

  7. Nivyah Broadband

Hi Guys, Read about this service yesterday in Newspaper. They are providing unlimited transfer at 1MBPS speed for Rs 500. I think its the lowest rates among all service providers. More info here I have never heard about this co and have doubt whether they can provide quality service at this prices. So, if anyone is using this service, please post their experience for benefit for everyone .

  10. Yesterday there were reports that 10,000 + Hotmail accounts were compromised when the details of user name & passwords are published online. I was not concerned about the report as my Hotmail account is very less relevant to my everyday digital life. But today when BBC reported that another 20,000 GMail, Yahoo and AOL accounts are also compromised then the panic started. I immediately changed the password of all my mail services just as a precautionary measure. As per the BBC report there are close to 30K+ email accounts that are compromised. The compromised accounts are known to be victims of phishing scams that lure users with fake websites to reveal their passwords. Google already taken action on the compromised GMail accounts by forcing them to reset the passwords. They also stressed that there is no breach in the security of GMail system and the compromised accounts are victims of phishing websites. Are you worried? Remember to change your passwords often, choose strong passwords, never leave your computer unlocked and don't use same password for all your web accounts. Source BBC News

  20. Introducing Google Chrome Os

Chrome OS Virtual Machine Build Ready for Your Testing If you're aching to try out Chrome OS after taking a glimpse earlier today, friendly power user Mark Renouf has compiled a VMware image of Chrome OS for testing out in your virtual machine environment. While Chrome OS is far from ready for the regular user, lots of us are aching to play around a little with Google's young operating system. This virtual machine-friendly build looks like a good way to do just that, and you can grab it via BitTorrent now. From The Pirate Bay page: This is a ChromeOS image converted to VMware .vmdk file. It was built from instructions provided on the ChromiumOS developers site: http://sites.google....ld-instructions Built from sources retreived on 11/19/2009, following the announcement of the opening of the ChromeOS source code. Shared user password (for sudo, etc is 'chromeos') If you give it a download and try it out, let's hear how it worked for you (and share any images you manage to grab) in the comments. Update: Alternately, you can download a VMware build directly from web site gdgt as well, "no strings attached" (as long as you don't consider creating an account at gdgt and giving them your email address "strings").
