Must Have Android Apps For Your Smartphone - Part II
phonegeek replied to rajanmehta's topic in Android
Cricket fan and Android user? It’s time to do a little jig as Google has added support for cricket updates to the Google Now app. Now, the app lets you pick any of the international cricket teams (even Afghanistan features), and has also added Indian Premier League teams to the mix. Cricket has been missing from Google’s sports cards on Now since the introduction of the category. The service did have massive support for most football clubs and international teams, as well as most American sports, including college-level competitions. Now when you open Google Now (on Nexus devices you will reach it with a swipe up from the on-screen navigation buttons), you can add cricket teams to your cards. You can configure your cards by using the Wand icon right at the bottom and then proceed to the Sports teams section. Here you can add any number of teams to your cards list. Google’s addition of cricket teams comes at a time when there are quite a few tournaments coming up. The World Twenty20 starts this month, followed by the Indian Premier League, one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Google has in the past supported the IPL through live-streaming of matches and highlight packages on YouTube, so it’s not a surprise that it has added cricket cards, even though we think it’s a little belated. http://www.google.com/landing/now/- 1,081 replies

Must Have Android Apps For Your Smartphone - Part II

As we started to live in digital age, remembering passwords for every site became a biggest headache. Offlate, may services have started and we also started using it like, lastpass, 1password, keepass, etc. I myself using lastpass for last 2 years. All these services do good job in managing passwords but none of the above can autofill your credentials on your phone which makes it little useful on mobile. So, here is another services known as paswordbox. Its a freemium service and you can store and use 25 passwords for free but for saving more, you need premium account. Also there is referral program where if you refer to friends, you can get all the premium features for free. Here is my referral link, http://j.pbox.io/1OGEcR5o I am sure, you wont be disappointed. Here are its features:- 1,081 replies

Fly like a butterfly, sting like an HTC! How about that for a publicity slogan for the newly unveiled, but long rumored HTC J Butterfly “phablet”? We don’t know if HTC has thought about something similar for the 5-incher’s marketing campaign, but we do know that the hype-building has officially begun with a YouTube promo video. The clip runs for just over 30 seconds and looks like a TV commercial made for Japan, although it lacks that certain something to make it really cool and attractive. Then again, you could have probably put this baby next to a white wall and simply rotate it in front of the camera while playing Justin Bieber’s “Baby” in the background, and we’d still be drooling over it. The promo video’s main focus is, as you would expect, the unique display sported by the J Butterfly, dubbed Super LCD 3, measuring 5 inches in diagonal and boasting an astounding 440 ppi pixel density. Surprisingly, there seems to be some effort put behind marketing the rear-facing camera too, although the 8 MP sensor sounds a bit 2011-ish. The design looks like another piece de resistance for HTC’s marketing, so there’s a lot of flipping the phone around to show off its sexy curves. Last, but not least, we have to notice a Google logo on the back of the device that might not mean something in particular, but could be a sign that this is bound to be another Nexus branded phone after all. Now if only HTC would put us out of our misery and mention a thing or two about this bad boy’s global availability… Source :http://www.androidauthority.com/htc-j-butterfly-promo-video-123492/

Ok, I am not aware about permanent unlock. But restoring factory image does not restore EFS partition. Its unique for each phone.

^ GSM unlock is related to build prop file so it gets restored while flashing tot file. EFS partition does does not gets restored. IMHO

Flashing to stock will not help, original EFS partition has to be restored. Then it would work. No idea, it was a wild discovery on lazy Sunday, so thought to share here

Nice way to hide identity!!! LOL............ Anyways, that was a real wild guess that data on RUIM will not work if you had made NV changes. May be the reason is something different but the solution is to restore the original EFS, then change phone to RUIM mode and then pop in your SIM!
