I hope also RCDMA is not in Rcom's fav. Prepaid top ups are not available in many areas in Coimbatore. You cant get RCDMA top up in most of the mobile shops and prepaid sales shops where all other GSM coupons are available. You should go to Webworld or you have to find the very few special shops who have with RCDMA recharges. Its not easy to get the voucher in all areas. In the user part i have more than 50 friends/business in the rcdma network few years back. Now i have only 5-6 friends and on this few i have only one rcdma friend to call frequent.

Could the starting sound(tone) of G-Five mobiles can be switched off or changed? Its very very irritating to hear that loud and long tone while switch-on the GFive mobiles. (Im not using, for my friend ) And Other Tip please: Is there any good phone with GSM+CDMA in the Ebay India. Price around 3000/-

Really a surprising news. Google wants to play a vital role in the mobile hardware/software market like Apple. Even though its Android is leading the mobile software field, in the hardware front Google needs a existing player like Motorola. Can any of RimWeb STARs could compile and post a writeup in the Patent Issue with Microsoft and other Android smart phone makers? This Googorola ( Nice name from our Genius) combo wil make any impact in the above issue?

MTS is actively expand its network all over the country. Reliance and Tata give up their interest in CDMA. Hope MTS is the deciding factor in future for the CDMA technology in India.

This is the right post on right time. CDMA is killed by the Operators + Non availability of Good handsets + High data plans. In GSM average user just spend around Rs 4000 - 5000, will get a decent handset with gprs/edge facility to check email, browsing and some social networking options, data plans also cost around Rs 150/m. But in CDMA is there any choice for this type of options? Still im using my CDMA(very basic phone) with lot of confusion to go for a GSM network. Is there any benefit to stick with CDMA?

Hi Im planning to by a new mobile with new postpaid connection. I need to browse internet occasional. I searched for a suitable handset for this. I found LG RD 5130. It priced Rs. 3100/- in WebWorld. Its happy to see a color hand set with net connection feature at this price. But i found this thread. Please clear my doubts: 1. Is the Ringtone voulme is really low? (B'cas i need a high volume ringtone for my working/home atmosphere) 2. Not supported ringtone downloads/ other features from RWorld? 3. How is the net connection speed on this phone? (Im now using LG RD2030 for more than 3 years but not connected to net. I liked the phone very much. But I forcefully change to new one bcas thers is nobody using this outdated model) 4. Please suggest me any other better hand set around Rs 3000.
