  1. Review: MTS Blaze 5 CDMA+GSM Dual SIM Android

I thought call waiting and conference call in RCDMA are SIM linked features, independent of handset.
  2. Reliance CDMA EVDO Activation Via SMS

In my case also EVDO data is not working. As per Instacare, EVDO is already active in the OMH SIM. I am using N919D. 1x data is working. If data is kept off, handset shows full signal in both EVDO and 1x. But not able to connect to EVDO data.
  3. Review: MTS Blaze 5 CDMA+GSM Dual SIM Android

as indicated in post #51, MTS build05 was already loaded in certain handsets but the ROM has not been published. So it has now been made available online on 27-02-2015. direct ZTE branded version is also now available on EBay. Any idea what is the ROM in those sets.
  4. Review: MTS Blaze 5 CDMA+GSM Dual SIM Android

checked my handset. Its already Build : V.MTS.N919D.B05, VERSION 4.1.2.
  5. Review: MTS Blaze 5 CDMA+GSM Dual SIM Android

^^ that is MTS (Shyam Sistema Telcom Ltd) ROM and expected to lock the set.
  6. ^^^ GSM 3G in India works on 2100 Mhz. CDMA/EVDO works on 800 Mhz. By the laws of physics, CDMA with shorter wavelength will always have much better reception indoors than GSM 3G. I ahve used GSM 3G in three different metros and my experience is that speed is affected by the number of users in GSM 3G also.
  7. If AVOID fails to pass on benefit, people with start to port out
  8. so MTS still is the only 100% Rev.B network
  9. I am using unlocked EC306 with TP-Link MR3020 router. Use both MTS and R-CDMA SIMs in it.
  10. ^^ MTS Blaze 5 and ZTE N919D Dual SIM are same phone. ZTE N919D Dual SIM was earlier sold through MTS branded as MTS Blaze 5. Now they have launched it in its own name.
  11. Unlocked ZTE N9129D officially launched on EBAY @ 6999 (you can get at @6404 with 8.5% discount coupon available for Valentine day) Three months unlimited high speed data offer from Reliance CDMA, for both new and existing customers. http://www.ebay.in/itm/271766961121
  12. I am using Blazze 5 for last 3 months. Really robust phone for mainly business use. The additional weight is due to higher capacity battery.
  13. personally I prefer a USB compatible wifi router with a normal Reb.B dongle.
  14. I have used MTS RevB and Airtel 4G. And Rev.B is better than 4G (at least the version of 4G that is on offer)
  15. Switch to CDMA ?

My personal number is R-CDMA for the last 12 years. Now its also the connection for mobile data. Official number is Airtel, but it makes my BP high regularly due to poor network.
  16. the focus of operators have now shifted to data, where CDMA rules.
  17. have you tried Boldbeast app
  18. According to the announcement made by the WB Chief Minister, wef 5th Feb, 2015 free wifi Zone is to be launched at Park Street Area, Kolkata in association with Reliance Jio. It would be further spread to rest of the City over next 3 months.
  19. I have used Airtel 4G in Kolkata for over three months. Not at all impressed. Signal shifts to 2G at many places. Poor reception inside house. MTS Rev.B is much better in comparison.
  20. List of CDMA + GSM Handsets

^^ as per specs screen size is 5" so comparable with MTS Blaze 5 and not BlaZe 4.5, EG632 supprts EVDO and UMTS on first slot so can be used as GSM-3G/CDMA-3G+GSM but ZTE (MTS Blaze) supports only CDMA and EVDO in first slot.
  21. Switch to CDMA ?

instead of MTS blaze 4.5, better go for MTS Blaze 5. Better battery back up and build quality. There is a option to switch to EVDO only mode with an easy twick, as shared in the specific thread for MTS blaze 5. I am using it personally and quite satisfied.
  22. I am using MR-3020 with MTS Rev.B dongle without any firmware change.
  23. somehow the situation brings to my mind the Third Reich. The Nazi invented the first Jet fighter plane (ME 262), the first long range basaltic missile (V-2), the first Stealth fighter (HO 229) and the first cruise missile (V-1) and very close to developing atomic weapon. But yet they lost the war because in most cases, Hitler slowed down the development or deployment of these weapons and the Allied forces got time to play catch up.
