downloaded app on my chinese (Veedee) tablet over wifi through MTS data connection. Registered my CDMA postpaid and got instant OTP. working well. but plan showing old rates, instead of the new rates applicable from 1st May. Got 2 more CDMA and 1 GSM connection. 10. New Online Reservation Website For Indian Railways

there is more. have you heard of RDS? Revolving Deposit Scheme. Its a system where advance money is deposited into your IRCTC account and at the time of actual booking, amount is adjusted from this. So no payment gateway hassles, no payment failures. IRCTC Agents have this facility. but no normal users. This is despite the fact that almost a year back back the facility was promised to normal users. Why still not provided... for giving undue benefit to the Agents of course.
  11. AirTel new Broadband plan

useful only for very heavy users
  12. Using EVDO on Unlocked MTAG352

    enjoy now....
  13. New Online Reservation Website For Indian Railways

@inception a significant part of the mobile users now use smart phones with wifi capabilities. and for travellers of Rajdhani and Shatabdi, the percentage of smart phone would be around 80-90%. since its free, the users would not be less than half but more than 75%.
  14. I support. This was the point I raised at the time many of our members including some gurus were rejoicing poor state of MTS effected by Supreme Court's order to discontinue operation. After all, we, the subscribers will suffer if the competition at the operators' level subsides. So, let's not get vindictive against AirTel/ Voda/ !dea. the MTS situation was the unfortunate fall out of overbearing judiciary. the auction of CDMA spectrum was never part of the 2G auction. so it was not subject matter of the case for which the judgement was given. but the net result is that the consumers suffer.
  15. time for Govt to leagalise Mobile Virtual Network and levy a licence fee on both sides for that. would yield much higher revenue for the Govt than these petty fines.
  16. Instead of asking for the small fine, DOT should have asked them to pay price equivalent to the price paid by the successful 3G bidder in the concerned circle.
  17. New Online Reservation Website For Indian Railways

4 mbps / 512 kbps shared by about 500 persons. thanks but I would stick to BSNL 3g/2g.
  18. Jusr remembered what Sunol Bharti Mittal said on the launching of Rel Infocom (now telecom) - "bakri ko to halal hona hi hai, magar kisto mein
  19. Suggestions for CDMA handset with keypad

Any clamshell RUIM based basic handset available in the market? For voice and sms only. Still miss my GTran. No blackberry please.
  20. Yes I still remember the days I usef to pay Rs.6 o/g for 30 sec and Rs.4 i/c for30 sec to Airtel. Landline charges extra. The entry of RIM changed that. Although it is still a riddle for me why Reliance kept RTL (smart) separate from Infocom (now RCOM) . But lets just hope that the customers gets the maximum benefit.
  21. The announcement for RIM came 6 mths after Dhirubhai's death and the actual services started after another 3 months (softlaunch) and the commercial services started from April 2003. I have been a subscriber since the days of softlaunch. But yes ultimately the benefit all goes to the customer. I still remember the comment of Sunil B Mittal when asked about possible reduction of rates after the announcement of RIM - bakre ko to halal hona hi hai, lekin kisto mein.
