    @manish have you considered using VOIP? I use VIBER, a cross platform service that is available for Android, iPhone and Blackberry with very good voice clarity.

    I had an original Alcatel GSM set 10 years back. great set. With option to operate on 3 AAA batteries if normal battery runs down. one of my colleague is using an Alcatel GSM Android set. very satisfied.

    I use Mozilla Thunderbird with Lightning Add-on. Linked the Google Calender (on CalDAV mode) as the Lightning Calender. Both in my home PC as well as Office PC. And use the Calender widget on my Android Mobile. Any reminder added on Thunderbird gets synced with Mobile and the other installation of Thunderbird (Home to Office/Office to Home)

    ^^^ the data card is expected to be locked to MTNL for normal users it would be better to buy a unlocked data card and take a MTNL SIM separately.

    if you are looking for a stationary unit for use at your home, go for TPLink. if you intend to use while on the move, go for one with internal battery.
