yes, mine is also now only downloading data through rel mobileworld; earlier it was downloading through both wifi and rel connections... though gps is working perfectly but this small irritant has cropped up... I used only wifi to download quickgps....

Dont use debug. That messed up my GPS; now I cant download through QuickGPS through wifi as I was able to earlier...

The sturdiness has reduced in the newer models... Pre is nowhere as sturdy as the 755p we all love...same way neither is Pro as sturdy as the Mogul...

Dont try that cab file on Pro; thats for mogul only... no settings in qpst are also needed for Pro... As tanveer says stand under open sky and GPS will latch on within a minute or so... If you use WiFi, use that to update your QuickGPS Program given under programs so that your GPS latches on faster... after that I even latch on to 8-9 satellites indoors (on 1st Floor)... Dont change any default settings in Pro regarding GPS as its fully activated. Just make sure you use the latest version of google maps and first use GPS with that, then with any other program (for first time GPS latching only)...

always take demo before buying any phone... 1K or 30k....

Ok, so I have upgraded to the NEW SPRINT ROM for Touch Pro; download here - http://www.htc.com/us/support/touch-pro-sprint/downloads/ Everything (all settings) remained intact except I have to reload PRL. Of Course, as I was programming a new phone, I had to delete HTC_CM_Guardian and the Sprint Dialler and reload Reliance Cabs. Now remember in this rom by default, Sprint is preventing you from tethering; which was solved by the above 0 byte solution of HTC_CM_Guardian we use; So you may see on screen, the phone trying to contact Sprint for settings; let it run fully once then it will disappear... and internet connects perfectly... Windows is 5.2.2.21054 (build 21054.1.6.7) vs 5.2.1.19965 (Build 19965.1.2.3) The Rom version is now 2.01.651.6 and Radio is 1.12.34F Many Improvements in TouchFlo interface were found and many errors removed, like for example Calender did not display in month mode through TF3D in the earlier rom.... many small quircks also removed... Battery Life seems to have improved More info soon....

^ Yes, Bricking is an integral part of the learning curve.... even the best among us have bricked some device or other at some point of time... sometimes, it is hardware problem, but more often than not it is either mistake in doing the programming process, over-confidence, wrong procedure adopted or plain carelessness.... so its not for the weak-hearted who dont want to learn...

^ Upgrading to Sprint Original Rom is a separate topic and you can access it from the link in my signature. If you are a total newbie, I would advise you become more fluent with systems before diving into rom flashing; However if you do want to flash, then the method is easy and step by step... read in that topic..... Dont overload your phone with unnecessary programs, that also slows down ring response.

Yaa, you can also recover money if you get dead phones by Paypal... but this Indian site is charging too heavily as Custom and S&H charges...

^ Little edit Arun - Slot Cycle Index is under Modem Settings (6th from Top). After selecting that click Menu-edit - there change it from 2 to 1 or 0 (I use 1 which I feel is ideal in Sprint Original Rom without adversely affecting my battery life as faster pinging means more battery consumption) Note: Ring response is much faster on Sprint Original Rom, though THERE IS an inherent lag in ALL WINDOWS MOBILE DEVICES. But most of us get ring from 2nd ring (about 2 second lag) though the device wakes (lights up) in first Ring. What you can also try besides this to get faster ring response is to set Normal Ringtones and not heavy mp3 files. If you use mp3 make sure to trim them to max. 30 seconds, so that windows plays them faster (smaller the file size, faster windows will play it)

Updated- Activated my 2nd Pro today Did not Face any errors of 0.25 and 0.37 Hard Spl What all I did extra was - (either of these may have solved my problem....) 1. Disabled Advanced Network Functionality in USB to PC 2. Made an actual activesync connection (not as Guest) 3. Made new directories for 0.25 and 0.37 HSPL exe files and ran them from there (as they create certain files like RUU which may interfere with ones already in your current folder) 4. I also disabled my Palm HotSync Manager 5. I also used original USB Cable that came with the phone 6. I formatted the memory card to FAT32 before loading the e$n based radio to be flashed from phone Awaiting 3rd Pro on Monday....
