  1. ^ That would be great for people facing download problems; Just ensure u get your product key from Microsoft directly after registering through your hotmail a/c so that there are no activation problems. Good info Shashank...
  2. @kshah - check ur email @savramesh - there have been reports of a trojan on the pirated versions of windows 7 loaded on torrents as reported by the security company Damballa. Maybe Microsoft has put it there itself... lol... but I am surprised to note the problem of downloading from microsoft site; maybe the rush has increased; But pls ensure you get the product key directly from microsoft so that there are no activation problems, which you have to do so within 30 days. I activated immediately without any problems. I could have uploaded but the file is too big (2.36GB). And its not possible for me to send dvd to every member. But I can make an exception in ur case. u can send me your address if u so wish and i will send u the dvd.
  3. Loaded both CDMA Workshop and QPST; Both are working perfectly, Read my phone and uploaded prl... AFAIK this did not work properly with Vista... Hoorrah...
  4. You wait and see... MNP will be a big hit in India unlike US... though I dont think the telcos wud share my views... lol...
  5. ^ Strange; its download manager creates an icon on the desktop whereas if your download stops for any reason, you just have to click that icon and it is restarted from the same point; After download completes that icon is deleted automatically; The iso file you will get is directly burnt onto a dvd by nero; Use Firefox to download; I was able to download in one night flat on my Airtel BB 333Kbps connection; Refresh your cookies;
  6. Day 2 - Mates, its a full fledged operating system with NO SHORTCUTS, so dont be wary about installing and use it free for a year. Rock Solid performance, no hiccups, no reboots; I will shortly be also installing qpst and cdma worksop etc. to check whether it can support our programming softwares too... Yesterday installed - AutoCad 2010, AutoCAD 2000, CorelDraw 9, CorelDraw 12, Office XP, Photoshop 7, Tally, Bitcomet, UTorrent, AVG Free, Firefox, IE8 (default), VLC Player 0.9, Dos (default), Adobe Reader 8, WinZip, WinRar, Skype, GTalk etc. more coming...
  7. Please ensure that the Asus motherboard is Asus P5K-PL-AM/PS i.e. PS in the end, because only that has parallel and serial port etc.... Rest I would suggest u invest slightly more and go for Cooler Master Cabinet and power supply i.e. about 2K more in total cost.
  8. ^ Yes, there is difference of more than double in processor speed and performance (however I am currently running my system on Dual Core, 945 chipset, 2GB Ram, 3 HDD (250GBx2+500GBx1 and no graphic card - still aero is running fine) Experience so far - I have downloaded and installed on My XP Machine as Dual Boot and I can tell you the interface is fantastic, a la vista but with better control and compatibility. All my prehistoric DOS programs are running. I didnt have to enter a single driver cd for my 3 printers (including one prehistoric HP Laserjet 5P) or my HP scanner. All were detected and installed automatically. I can choose whether to by default boot into XP or W7. The sharpness of the screen has somehow increased (donno why), music sounds better, videos play sharper and crisper. I have been able to add all computers to my home network (4 of them on XP including my office) in a jiffy and transfer files between them. I installed free AVG anti virus, firefox 3.0.10, office xp, autocad, coreldraw, nero.... so far so good... more coming...
  9. Check out all new features of the iphone 3g A$$ at - http://www.apple.com/iphone/iphone-3g-s/ and I really donno what u people are talking about... its a revolutionary product which has just got better...
  10. My Current Screen Shots using SPB Shell 3 -
  11. Ruim based Mogul, bought by a guy of Tazakistan from China -
  12. @vishal the prl update by sending prl to 53733 is working on your phone because you have used the es* and min of an original reliance phone (in your case a ppc 6700) and also you are using the spc corresponding to that es*. It will not work for all of us as we are using the data from a ruim. It can work only if used from a existing old reliance handset (as also was being done by kshah on his 6700 where he was using data from a lg). Then you are also able to change handset no. simply by using a HCC or asking the WW to change your no.
  13. Now thats very interesting news. I hope they are selling unlocked sets for the prices quoted above. And with the new software with cut and paste, bluetooth sorted out etc. etc. it could just become the ideal phone.... maybe even better than Pre at this price.... also Android phones have failed to create any stir in the market.... so this could be the best bet...
  14. 1. The procedure for connecting internet on HTC 6800 or HTC 6900 (Touch) is absolutely same. So I suggest u read the relevant pasrts in this post for setting up internet - http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?show...15023&st=85 . U will have to load the 3 reliance cab file and after that follow instructions in Anupes posts (in quotes) to replace HTC_CM Guardian.exe file with a blank dummy file (if that has not already been done by your phone provider). Then delete Sprint default connection. U will find Reliance connections have been created under connections. You can then set your required default connection. You can use Rel Netconnect connection for charges @60p/minute or u can use Reliance Mobile World connection (with or without proxy - try both whichever connects; in my case both are working) for charges @ 10p/10kb download charges. 2. U can use Outlook email on the phone and same can be synced Microsoft Outlook on PC. There must be thousands of posts on the internet for the procedure. Just google around on Microsoft help website or read ur users manual. 3. Reliance has got very ****ty internet plans on prepaid and I dont find any plan ideal. They have introduced 99/- and 199/- but data download charges are extra on both. So I personally use on the go and pay charges as detailed in point 1 above. In postpaid they do have some plans but u will have to contact CC for that. 4. Speed of internet is ok types for general browsing, but dont expect broadband speeds. Max. speed available is 128kbps. Internet on phone is still on 1x network and not on EVDO like through their Broadband USB Modems.
  15. Htc Mogul Issues

  16. I have never ever faced this problem on the original sprint rom. Use the prl posted in Post 86 inside reliance.zip file - http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?show...15023&st=85
  17. Using original rom with Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 as posted by doc muf and phone is working like a charm. Photo Contacts Dialling is very good and highly customisable in this shell, with very nice touch flo system. Only memory usage is slightly high but no major issues faced, because of that. Using regularly Google Maps, Facebook application, cE Twit, Active Sync to Google Server. So getting a little bored without a CHALLENGE (nothing goes wrong in this rom). Looking forward to cracking Pre... Just had a look at the new Samsung Phone with 8MP camera and Touch System - one of ther lousiest 25K phones I have seen; Dont anybody go for it;
  18. Htc Mogul Issues

    Reload sprint original rom and voice command will work properly. Follow link in signature as to how to...
  19. People like Kalpak always take out of the way initiative and are an inspiration to this forum...
  20. Setting Tata Connection In Mogul

    @muf No, Tata will not activate Reliance es*. I have tried it. I donno how its possible if they did not have centralised database, but they certainly did not activated Reliance es*; so it seems they do have something at the backend. However activating Sprint es* was no problem at all....
  21. Setting Tata Connection In Mogul

    Yes its possible to program Nam2 with these settings but only one number can work at one time. And also es* will have to be changed each time you switch over to the other connection. You will have to use ruim es* for Nam1 for Reliance and the original es* for Nam2 for Tata and u will have to get that es* of Nam2 activated from Tata who will give u a separate MIN no. which you will have to feed in Nam2 or also u can do it OTA by activating your phone by *228. Then you will have to switch the Nams each time you want to use either of the connections after changing the es* in cdma workshop. @deepak - complete procedure has been sent to you, but I see you apply yourself a little slowly. You will have to read those topics and apply yourselves. Its not possible to spoon feed each and every step. Try and if you get stuck somewhere then ask. We all are here to help you.
  22. Want To Buy New Htc Handset - Need Recommendation

    There's no beating the Mogul for total functionality, but I have seen some people who take a long time getting used to the windows platform. If you can overcome that problem then its the best, otherwise Blackberry and even Treo 755p will be good options.
  23. htc p 3000 problem

    - First of all dont double post, my friend. Now search and install PPC PIMBackup (the best backup software I have seen) from the Sprint original rom topic (link given in my signature) on your P3000 and backup all data like your contacts, calendar, appointments, sms, emails etc. by it on your memory card. Also activesync to backup your data. - If both of that is not possible, then activesync to Microsoft exchange server (link also given in my signature) and backup your contacts, at least, to your Gmail account. - After ensuring proper backup has been taken, hard reset your phone by pressing both left and right soft keys and simultaneously pressing the stylus in the reset hole. Follow on screen instructions. Your phone will be restored to the factory default settings. - Then restore your data by either of the methods to get back all your contacts and even sms's (if u used PIMBackup)
  24. Compromise on FM and dont go for outdated Nokia handsets in CDMA. Go for good handset like Treo755p, Blackberry or HTC Mogul...
  25. Arre bhale manus, - You have to first make a 0 byte empty text file by clicking right click button in windows explorer - then NEW - then select Text Document; GOT IT; - and then rename it HTC_CM_Guardian.exe; got it i.e. meaning the file will in fact be a empty text file but you would have renamed it HTC_CM_Guardian.exe - Then copy this file to your memory card; then replace this file in windows folder in the PPC by Total Commander and then check that now the bytes of this file are 0 (ZERO); then reboot; then delete Sprint Dialer; then set Rel_Mobile_World OR Rel_NetConnect as default connection; then reboot again; then IT WILL WORK........ GOT IT... U BETTER...
