However, the point of view of Kamal must also be appreciated. I see he always points people towards sets with Full Warranty and available locally with bill and vat paid.... However all these things eventually add up to the costs which seriously jack up prices. What these imported sets offer is serious Value for Money package, though without warranty....but then the cost at which they are available, you can always go and buy a 2nd handset.....also with companies like Palm... the quality package they offer, there hardly are any issues with the handset unless of course u drop them and break something or water seeps through... but for these conditions even the fully warranted sets would offer u nothing...

I just sold my wife's nokia 6265 and replaced it with Treo 755p. And believe me my friend, u will forget ever going back to Nokia again... Go for Treo 755p if ur net usage is low, otherwise HTC 6800 Mogul, both available with sadikk.... and within ur budget... and u will forget nokia for sure... my guarantee...

Project - Foreign Esn / Meid Handset In Reliance
dkaile replied to HetalDP's topic in Reliance Communications
Sorry, hetal bhai, was extremely busy... will try and draft a letter this week... and post on forum.... -
Dear Arun, I am writing you this letter, after feeling deeply hurt in the last few days due to the attitude of some of our dear member/moderator, and was seriously thinking of leaving this forum forever, but was convinced otherwise by few of my close friends on the forum. I have been on forums around the world and would like to suggest a few things:- 1. If a person has been appointed as a Moderator, he should analyse all posts/facts without prejudice and comments. Yes, you have the right to either delete a post if it is not in the conjunction with your rules, But if that post is of a senior member, then there is no need to add any comments which are derogatory and will inflame the situation, resulting in counter derogatory remarks, which are bad for both sides. Also posts from senior members should be analysed very carefully before commenting by a moderator. If a normal member comments, there is no problem, but if a moderator comments, then it should be with grace and dignity of the position he is holding, and better not to comment at all, just delete the post or send him a personal message, if any senior member is involved. 2. The Openness of this forum should not be constricted by terms like, illegal, banned, Not allowed, specially against senior members by moderators. If you have a problem, send him a personal message. Our forum needs to be spruced up to international standards. A few suggestions:- 4. There should be "My posts" link on the main page as soon as member login's, rather than through his personal details. So that a member can click just of his Posts and immediately see the posts and topics opened by him or posted upon datewise. 5. There should be "Online" band against all members who are currently online against their name, and no band if he is not online. Many more suggestions will be coming from my side. I hope they will be taken and accepted in the right spirit, If you feel what I have said is wrong, just give me a word and I am ready to resign from this forum immediately, Regards, Dhiraj Kaile

BT stereo headphones should work without problem (though havnt tried personally) No, I havnt tried hetals rom till date,,, dialer you can search on ppcgeeks...

I donno about other netbooks, but Vista is working perfectly with Aspire One. All drivers are working and even Aero is working. Visit the Forum Link for aspireone I have given above and you will get all information about working with Vista. Also as this notebook has 2 Memory Card Readers, you can use the 2nd SD Card Slot to permanently fix say e.g 8GB SD Card and use it for RAMboost feature to enhance Ram for Vista. It works perfectly as per forum members, though I havent tried personally, cause I like XP better...

@Mufaddal but it does have location sensor to tell exact Coordinates of a person in distress (for 911 purposes abroad); that means it can tell latitude and longitude; maybe then it can be used to activate gps; or maybe that feature is linked to position pinpointing by Mobile towers... then gps will not be activated... -
wifi is available only in Mogul 6800... But if u can compromise that, there's no beating the Treo 755p in terms of value for money and as a phone... but internet browsing is weak on Treo...

1. Yes, these are all inclusive prices with bill and warranty. 2. No difference at all 3. Yes, even I did that only. I have installed XP Professional with SP3 4. Exactly, no sense giving 2300/- extra No other difference, as far as I can tell. I have purchased 2 so far. First was XP model, then purchased for 22,900/- and 2nd Linux for 20,000/-. Absolutely loving this netbook...

At present 3 variants are available: 1. 120Gb 1GB RAM LINUX 3 cell batt. Colour-Blue 20,000/- 2. 120Gb 1GB RAM XP Home SP3 3 cell batt. Colour-Blue 22,300/- 3. 160Gb 1GB RAM XP Home SP3 (should be 6 Cell batt - but not confirmed) Colour-Black 23,500/- I bought from Computer Empire, Nehru Place. Also check on Cost to Cost Computers besides him (not advertising anybody - but they have lowest rates in Delhi) Also I inquired today Asus EeePC was also available 160Gb, 1GB Ram, XP Home, WiFi+Bluetooth, 10" screen, 6cell batt for 26,000/-

But buddy, we do have to keep in mind the service backup and warranty issues also. Acer has service center in nook and corner of the country... When I went to Nehru Place to pick up the notebook, the MSI distributor came to the shop, but nobody was ready to keep their goods due to lack of service. Same is the story with Asus in India... even though I was keen to have a dekko of MSI also...

I heard Dell was coming out with a 3GB ram with 250GB HDD mini, but donno, if they will be able to price it right. This is just too affordable at 20K... And there's no disturbance in the force mate...

But I tell u rakesh, I am using this netbook personally, the resolution of both these netbooks is the same whether 8.9" or 10.1" screen i.e. 1024x600 so it makes no difference... and the sharpness of the Acer screen has beaten both the MSI and Asus eePC (read all international forums). In fact I find it brighter and clearer to read than my 14.1" conventional notebook and my 19" LG TFT desktop... and the AAO is now available with a 160GB HDD (in comparison to their 80GB)... In the US and Canada, it is sold out at Walmart.... and selling like hotcakes.... If someone is coming from abroad, the pick wud be 160GB version with 6cell battery for just 399$ is just a steal in ALL WHITE (not yet available in India)

After extensive testing of all browsers, I have now permanently (I think) shifted to FIREFOX 3, which I must declare the WINNER, in this Browser Race. It just has too many addons to add funtionality of every thinkable problem... Now I am a convert from IE7 (with IE Pro)... to FF 3 No doubt chrome has faster speed, but it still lacks in many many other issues.... hence I was forced to test FF...

All About Treo 755p - Lets Discuss The Good And The Bad

@vipul just set the default connection to Rel Mobile World (I presume you must have already created the same as per my earlier post no. 68 in this Topic only). Go to Applications-Prefs-Network-Click the Service button- Select Rel Mobile World from the drop down list - Restart your Treo (by removing and reinstalling your battery) and you are ready to use Rel Mobile World on your Treo as the default connection. Now you can either use the default browser - Blazer - by clicking WEB from the Applications menu or you could install Java and then Opera Mini (procedure also give as per my earlier post no. 98 in this topic) and you are ready to go. But to use your phone as modem you will have to change your connection to Rel Net Connect and then connect to your PC via USB cable/bluetooth and create a new connection on your PC (also given as per my earlier post no. 34) Hope that answers your question... -
Even the cheapest chinese one will do your job. But if u want the best then it has to be Logitech in webcams...

Help Needed In Selecting A Handset For Accessing Email On Handset
dkaile replied to metangp's topic in General Technical Discussion
@amit jain Push mail is possible on Treo also. You can try "seven" with links posted by Anupe elsewhere. It is compatible with Treo 755p and best of all its FREE... Now let me clarify, as far as email retrieval goes, Treo is even faster than Mogul. It is only when u need a better browsing experience like we get on Opera Mobile than it slightly lacks... -
Moderators, pls close this topic Kamal, let bygones be bygones Lets all join in to make this forum a better place.... we are missing u...
