  1. I have installed those 2 files and opera. But Opera still says that it needs Java to run and is not running. Last time I had installed many more files from all other folders except language files and then it had run. Kindly advise why Opera is not running with these 2 files installed. Also in J9 preferences Opera does come (if all 3 are installed in phone memory and not on memory card) but there is no memory setting option and the drop down options have some peculiar names. Also even after that Opera gives the error message and does not run.
  2. New Nokia 6275 @ 9,750

Call recorder works on Treo 755p, at just a fraction of cost more than 6275 - there is no competition...
  3. Htc Tweaks

@vijay was ur problem solved, vijay...
  4. Quad Core

However no offence was meant for anyone...
  5. OK so I downloaded from kshah's link. It was 5.7.2 ver. (my earlier one was 5.7.1) and the j9pref.prc was present in this download. Now we need to install only these 2 files as u have stated above, right Kalpak? and nothing else? because there are a plethora of files in that download.
  6. I had downloaded the files and the ones I got were- Websphere Everyplace Micro Environment v5.7: Java Technology for Palm OS Garnet - j9javammidp20.prc 1654KB - I could not find any j9pref.prc (supposed to be 7KB), instead there was PIMop.prc and PIMpref.prc Maybe the files sent by Dj are allright (because their file size is right according to IBM manual. Only thing is he also must not have done memory allocation, for which we need kshah's guidance.
  7. Quad Core

I am not advocating posting of any cracks anywhere, but I am thinking absolutely practically, dear Austin. There are forums and topics where we are discussing everything and I mean everything... But let us not say legal and illegal on every issue...
  8. Quad Core

^^^^ What is legal and what is illegal - what is the definition of this in our country.... If we go strictly by law, even discussing or uploading mp3 tunes is ILLEGAL, even discussing ES* Hacks is ILLEGAL, even posting Newspaper references without their specific permission is ILLEGAL.... If u want to go strictly by the book, then I think we should close this forum....
  9. Htc Tweaks

In Bluetooth settings-mode-Have you ticked Make this device visible to other devices
  10. Bluetooth Setting For Mogul

Also add your Mogul as a new device in "My Bluetooth Places" on your PC and enable OBEX Object Push, Dial Up Networking etc. to also enable your device and PC to share files and internet connection via active sync.
  11. Htc Tweaks

But somehow after doing the above setting, I am unable to connect to COM5 for active sync. They seem to be interfering with each other. EDIT - OK so now I found the solution, I deleted the COM0 port from my Mogul (it has nothing to do with the file transfer somehow) and now I am able to connect both to activesync and transfer files both ways. Just ensure you have added your device on your PC and anabled OBEX file transfer. After connecting via activesync on bluetooth I am also able to connect to the internet via my device sharing the PC's internet connection.
  12. Htc Tweaks

I am able to send as well as receive file perfectly from my laptop. Kindly ensure that u have added a bluetooth device on your pc as well and have enabled OBEX Object push service on your PC. After u do that u will be able to receive files also. What I did - I first created an active sync connection. After creating that successfully, I added a new device My Bluetooth Places on my PC and selected my device and then enabled Obex Object Push. Then I created a new COM Port in Bluetooth settings on my Mogul (COM0) and after that I was able to transfer files both ways...
  13. Bluetooth Setting For Mogul

Sorry Hitman, I am on XP and these settings somehow did not work for me. But I found the resolution eventually. Somehow another Serial Port at Port13 had been created. I deleted that port and deleted and recreated the partnership on both my Laptop and my Mogul - and finally I CONNECTED.... Thanks for the Link, anyways.... (but I knew this procedure, it was the com13 port that was creating the problem, as my computer has inbuilt bluetooth - just for information of other users who get stuck lime me - check and delete other com ports)
  14. Bluetooth Setting For Mogul

Somehow didnt work with me...Pls give a brief tutorial Vijay... Maybe my Laptops bluetooth settings need to be reset

  17. Urgent! Reliance Prl Table.

Read "New to Treo" topic and read post no.2 and do SID and NID and other settings accordingly and roaming and other problems will vanish... and for further problems post in Treo 755p topic, this is not relevant topic for these problems...
  18. Urgent! Reliance Prl Table.

Where did u procure ur handset from man, because Sadikk gives with all settings done, and u should not be having such problems...
  19. Urgent! Reliance Prl Table.

    1. ESN has nothing to do with RSN. ESN is handset manufacturers number and RSN in service providers identification number 2. Look for ES* Hex in reverse like in your example , u have given wrong example of ES* Hex. It cannot be 7 digit, it is always 8 digit, and u will have to look out for 79 39 75 *8 in your example where * denotes the missing digit. 3. what for u need rsn; u just need to find the 6 digit (numeric) spc and msl. Once u find them on right hand side in hex editor, just edit them to replace. 4. prl is already loaded in the cdma updater file and no need to load any other way. just choose the correct one, as tata has been given separately. BTW - RSN is never used for Authentication. I have seen RSN on Printed on Box of Handsets and not found it any where else. Reliance uses ESN + MIN pair for authentication. Some network also use Akey. SPC is used to unlock phone for OTAP.
  20. Updated- attached MyCallLog.prc to even know the duration of each call (like in WM6.1) - a feature which was removed in the newer versions like our Treo 755p but was there in older Treo's (so that Companies can do dhandhlebaji like our Reliance) pls remove .zip from the attached file by renaming it... dont unzip it Secondly, I am also loading our old favorite tcpmp video player but this one is for Palm and it is a zip file - so extract it... mycalllog.prc.zip tcpmp.zip
  21. Yes, my dear friend... But the real techies are Hetal, Kshah, Karki, Arun et al... cocoman, shadowmite, no2chem etc.. who have created these tools for us....
  22. ^^^^^ Unlimited, same like Mogul. Also I am seamlessly syncing my data with Outlook - Contacts,Tasks, Calendar. Also NVbackup here takes backup of even your installed programs, messages, calls etc.. So in the event of a hard reset u dont have to install your programs again. Seeing is believing - it is so easy to install or uninstall programs - at the click of a button. Also the program files are so small, in kb's only - but with full functionality - The whole Palm System is basically Tailor made for Phones. Now I am waiting for Treo Pro but with Palm OS and not WM (as it is currently available)....
  23. Thank u vijay, but sometimes I really cant understand ur english/hinglish I hope your above post means your problem has been solved...
  24. No Smartphone true to its grain, would have a FM radio. When u have internet radio etc. Even iphone and Nokia N96 dont have FM radio. They are 2 very different markets. FM is low end phone feature. FM on phone is a relatively Indian phenomenon. Hope they realise this and introduce... But I never missed it, when u have so much entertainment in other forms, at your finger tips....
