@kshah I have read that for making the phone read SDHC memory and memory above 4GB you need to install some driver prc. Could you provide us that please so that it can read 8GB memory. -

EVDO will just be a matter of another edit of the NV Backup file and should run after configuring it on reliance settings. -

DAY 3 REVIEW OK mates, so here's my day 3 review of this phone in comparison to my HTC 6800 Mogul - 1. Super Quick & Fast phone (unlike My Mogul 6800) Rings on 1st Ring (not 2nd or 3rd as in My Mogul) 2. I have been able to set MP3 as My Alarm Tones (which was not possible/very difficult/big memory hog/had to convert to wav in WM Mogul). No Headaches here, very simple and very fast. MP3 Ringtones were of course no problems, but unlike Mogul - No Memory Hog 3. Screen Quality and Depth is far better than Mogul, at even 50% it is brighter than Mogul at 100% brightness. 4. Switching between applications is just a button press away. 5. Have Installed 4GB Mini SD, works like a charm without any hiccups. All files easily read and written in Windows Explorer 6. Very Fast Email download - I have downloaded through My gmail account - no problems- was setup in seconds 7. EVDO (3G ready) whenever Reliance launches it i.e. 8. Key Pad is just Superb - Better than BlackBerry (which I have used) - 10 times better than Mogul 9. Camera (though 1.3MP) is very good for both Stills and Camcorder is also Just Great 10. Music Player is Superb - Clarity equivalent to Mogul on My Seinheissers (through 2.5mm to 3.5 mm adaptor) 11. It is even charging by MY RELIANCE LG PHONE CHARGER (by the supplied Charger Adapter Cable) Hence the Car Charger of LG (Thin Long Pin one) will work seamlessly with this phone - Great Cost Cutting Gift 12. Video Playback is just Superb - It is playing all my mpg and avi files through 3rd party Core Player. Other formats to test. 13. Bluetooth is simple and superb - Was connected to My Laptop and Motorola Headset in a jiffy. Also transferred files seamlessly. 14. I connected to Rworld without any problems (Just tested it, as I dont use Rworld) 15. Connected to Rconnect as a Modem without any problems and somehow got speeds better than my Mogul 16. Thousands of Softwares available on the net 17. Just Love the way it handles SMS's, Missed Calls, Outlook Calendar etc. 18. Seamlessly synced with My Outlook Contacts in seconds 19. 1600 mAh battery (better than the 1500 mAh on Mogul) and Talktime is much superior to Mogul 20. I just love the overall fit and finish (much better than the plasticky Mogul) and the Full Rubberised Body in blue, and the Chrome knobs and tactile keys - seems like BUILT TO LAST. Downers: 1. No Wi-Fi (But then the cost is 5-6K less than Mogul - U can get one additional phone for that) One solution I have got from Kshah is to install a software Softiqppp and share the Internet Connection of my PC through Bluetooth (if somebody really needs that) 2. Browser is slightly weak. No Opera Mobile version (which I am just loving on my Mogul) for Palm yet - But wait - will come surely. My advise : Get this phone from Sadikk at 11-12K before it runs out. MUCH MUCH BETTER than any Nokias going around. It is just superb VALUE FOR MONEY PACKAGE. -
I have been using it for 15 minutes and I am impressed. Its at least 20-30% faster than the IE7 which I am using. It has opened all my security enabled java pages.

Cant help u there mate, as I dont have a Touch to test it.... and that can be done only after testing.... Anyways u can try reloading the Hetal's rom once again (no need to reload Sprint Latest Rom if u have already done that). Many problems do get sorted out after reloading. If that doesnt work u can revert back to plain original Sprint Rom, which is working well for most of us, and then wait for Hetal's rocking new rom.... whenever it comes....

And what about on Reliance ... U need the handset for that? Sadik can provide u.... Thats super duper good news Sadikk are u listening...

Need A Suggestion For Cdma Phone With Best Signal Strength Reception
dkaile replied to Anupe's topic in Handset Suggestions
I think nobody can give exact specific signal strength UNLESS he has the Phone hooked onto some professional grade setup to test the signal (which I presume none of us have got) because the signal meters inside the phone are all calibrated as per the manufacturers specifications/convenience. Best thing to check signal strength can only be done by a comparitive and long researched study based on the actual usage of the phone under different/trying circumstances. I would suggest Anupe to actually test the phones physically at that particular location where his friend needs to use the phone and check call droppage and voice clarity. But then getting all the phones models beforehand is the Big Question... he he And for that matter there's no beating our basic LG3000 also in signal strength... -
@ananth Friend, this is the topic for the MOGUL ROM and not Touch. Anyways Sanju's link will help u as it is taking u directly to HTC site. The person to discuss is Anupe for HTC Touch. I suggest u load the original Sprint TOUCH Rom, dont let customisations run and then proceed as per Anupes's post (link of which I have given above-it works on both Touch and 6800) to Run Reliance on Original Sprint Rom. I would also suggest that u download the Sprint Latest Original Rom from the HTC site only. That should solve all ur problems.

Need A Suggestion For Cdma Phone With Best Signal Strength Reception
dkaile replied to Anupe's topic in Handset Suggestions
@Anupe Treo 755p has just blown me away in all respects as a phone, even Signal Strength - Fantastic. Though in terms of signal strength Mogul is 95% of Treo. -
TOUCH Rom === in which phone???

Destinator is running perfectly in this rom. First install HP_GPS.cab and then do as per the above post. First check GPS in GoogleMaps and then try in Destinator. It will surely run. Follow the above post and let us know if u have any problem... I did not even have to install destinator in this ROM. I only created a shortcut in programs from the file already existing in my Memory Card and it is running smoothly. U Can try installing also...

2nd PPC, I have given to my father. We live together BTW. So there are 2 PPC's in the house. He's very happy with it, I have taught him how to look at his portfolio everyday, and that keeps him very happy (earlier he was using a Laptop). But I have to manage it (you know naa..) Why dont you try building a new Website from scratch in FrontPage, Use its inbuilt themes which will give it a visually appealing layout, and then reload it.
-
Why dont you try doing it yourself with FrontPage. I tried and was successful in making a simple, to the point website, with added images. I am able to edit it any time/ everyday and upload the changed pages also.
