Good news Guys, Just contacted Hetal and got the solution to this problem from him. I am attaching the set-ringer.reg file as a zip file, which is the registry solution to this problem. Kindly unzip it to find the reg file. You will need to use Resco Registry Editor which is already there in the ROM (Resco 2008 Explorer), only you will have to enter Change Device ID and enter Serial as Device ID = PPC-6800 Serial = 36284, and then load/add this registry correction file to your registry. Pls note as I am not on Hetals new rom I have not tried it personally, but I have been assured by Hetal that it will work. Kindly use it and immediately post your results for the benefit of other users. Enjoy.... and you know who to Thank - Our Hetal BOSS as always... SetRinger_reg.zip

I just converted my Nokia 6255 to RUIM. is there some way we can configure Rworld on it. Its set on some South Asian Network and not changing. Sorry for going offtopic. Since few days I am feeling that the speed at which RIMweb used to load is slowing down. Is anybody else feeling this too? Or are we getting too many hits causing our server to overload, perhaps? Some corrective action needed from the Administrators?

For headphones- I would suggest Sennheiser CX400 (includes leather pouch, ear adaptor set, 1m extension cable, .6m main cable, cable clip) I have bought 2 from ebay from China. The price varies 700 to 900, and I dont know whether they are fakes, but their sound is heavenly. So I am sure they are from the OEM manufacturer and they beat my original ipod headphones hands down. I use them on my mogul with a 3ring (pls note 3 ring because 2 ring will not work properly with mic enabled headset jacks) 2.5mm to 3.5mm headset adaptor, gold tipped and imported from US from ebay for a paltry 300 bucks for 2 pieces. I dont like Bluetooth Headsets but there is a beautiful Sennheiser Bletooth Stereo Headset in that which includes a bluetooth radio adaptor by which you can convert any 3.5mm jack enabled device (even ipods) to Wireless Stereo Bluetooth Headset. Search for it on Sennheiser US site and it is available on ebay. But cost is high.

@vijay @vishal DMrouter works perfectly from advance settings in QPST and CDMA workshop, only thing is that it minimises but works in the background. Also after you finish programming in QPST/CDMA workshop, do remember to once again click the DMRouter link and then quit DMRouter before soft reset so that the settings work perfectly. Try running Destinator from Memory Card.

But I do sympathise with you because it is quite frustating when you get a new handset (and a costly one at that) and it does not work properly. If you will read my posts in S720 topic, you would realise that you should have gone for 6800 from our in house importer Sadik at a much lower cost than what you have invested and would have got double the features of S720. Do not despair and get your handset replaced."

Hetal usually places it in Programs-Advanced Settings-DMRouter. If not there you can search and download DMRouter and use it to enter diag mode.

GPRS software??? Whats that? I am using Google Maps and Destinator on GPS with Mogul. Never faced any such problem. You can try soft reset everytime after using GPS. If not solved, uninstall that software. If problem still persists you will have to go for hard reset to remove that software completely.

@sanjeev Could you post a detailed step by step procedure, what you did to get services activated on Tata and then how you activated Tata Zone and Tata Internet (for use as modem on laptop). Are you also able to browse sites like gmail, yahoo etc. This would be most useful for the forum members Regards...

@Anupe Also could you find which is the best software which can announce the name of the Caller (a la Nokia) when the call comes in.
