Reva is still not a practical solution for India, till the govt. declares all oil is finished tomorrow, then your Reva will be worth in millions. Jokes apart. One of my friend was a die hard Reva fan in Meerut. He bought one and used it consistently for few years, even overlooking its many shortcomings and high cost of battery replacement. The height came when his wife was robbed when driving the Reva alone due to the fact the car did not accelerate in a lonely spot and the motorcycle borne thieves blocked her passage and robbed her. He sold the Reva shortly after and took a VW Polo. If you want ultra low cost vehicle, your choices are Nano, Alto and also Beat diesel. Nano 2012 model is NOW being built on one of the most modern plants in India. I got a look of the plant on National Geographic's "Mega Factories" and was deeply shocked by the level of sophistication and robotics involved in the Sanadh Nano Plant. I was sold on this vehicle after seeing the intricacies and the good manufacturing practices that Tata has employed. For city use, it is a highly practical substitute for a Motorcycle.

Strontium 16gb seem to have issues. I talked to their regional office at Delhi and they agreed to replace the defective card. First they tried giving me address of local Meerut office for replacement and when they could not find one they asked me to courier to them, which I have done today and they assured me they will send back new card within a week. Their address is - Mr. Naresh (Service), Strontium Technology India P. Ltd., 805, Madhuban Building, 55 Nehru Place, New Delhi - 110019 Ph: (011) 40568675. All those having issues with Strontium cards may contact on above number for local office details.- 6,376 replies

I bought this 2TB 3.5" External USB 3.0 Drive - http://www.seagate.com/external-hard-drives/desktop-hard-drives/expansion-hard-drive/ Cost - 6700/- from Cost to Cost, Nehru Place Also purchased this USB 3 card for my Desktop to achieve the true potential of this USB 3 drive (which is otherwise backward compatible also) - http://www.ebay.in/itm/150807455215?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Cost 680 bucks from ebay.

Just bought WD TV Live Hub - http://wdc.com/en/pr...cts.aspx?id=570 Teardown - Cost - 10.200/- from Nehru Place with bill and warranty AnandTech review - http://www.anandtech...ve-hub-review/1 Pros: 1 TB hard disk bundled, enough for most non-tech savvy users' contents HDMI 1.4 support plays most existing 3D content on 3D TVs Expanded online services compared to previous generation product Improved user interface compared to previous products in this lineup Supports sync of USB drives and digital camera contents to internal hard disk through USB Easy control of playback and interaction with the streamer through Web Remote and USB keyboards TrueHD bitstreaming and WMA(Pro) decode work fully Cons: Many bugs existing in previous generation products still left unfixed (mostly fixed in current update) GbE port seems more like a marketing gimmick, rather than actually adding to the performance Content can be transferred to the internal hard disk from a computer using the network only (BIG Negative) Can't stream multiple HD streams from the Live Hub, though the specifications seem to indicate that it is possible For a flagship product, WD should have tried to provide full HD audio bitstreaming / Blu-Ray ISO support / advanced media streamer features (ISO files were working when I last tested) Pretty neat price for 1TB media player. Only thing is that transferring 1TB data onto it is a pain and not as simple as in Playon HD. Otherwise this is better in all other aspects.

I have been using my cars without ANY sun films since the last 20 years without any issues in the sweltering North Indian heat. I fully support this sun film ban. It's all a matter of habit. Manufacturer rated tinted glasses provide the best VLT and safety.
-
Even if the out-market sun films comply with this VLT ratings, they are NOT allowed. Anything not affixed by manufacturer is banned, as of now, as per Supreme Court ruling.
-
Congrats kshah. Ertiga is indeed a very rational choice. However as of the recent Supreme Court ruling, there is NO RTO approved glass films of any make allowed now. Only "factory fitted" original tinted glasses are allowed as per their specifications. So in effect, any off-market glass film is now BANNED in India and you can be stopped by RTO people because of that.

Check- 1. Ignition Coil 2. Fuel Pump 2 probable reasons for such type of problem.

Finally ordered Panasonic Cube AC 1.6T (19000 BTU) 2 Star rating; Power consumption 2000Watts for my sparingly used area (to be used for 1 hour 2-3 times a week) @19K; Total price including installation and stabilizer is 22K. Normal cooling capacity of 1.5T split AC is 17000 BTU and this is about 10% more efficient in cooling. As the AC is to be sparingly used, power consumption was not an issue. Link: http://www.panasonic.../cube/cszc20nky
-
^ At a highest ambient temperature of 38 degree, even a 2 star AC will work fine.
-
^ See their brochures. Power consumption of Inverter AC and Normal 5 star AC varies according to each model. No one formula can be made to specify which is more economical. Also real world cooling figures in Indian heat also differs and power consumption will vary according to ambient temperature. My advice to you was based on feedback received from a dealer friend who deals in all brands of ac's since last 20 years. You have to see which is successful in Indian conditions rather than buying by advertising propaganda. Also to be seen is the quality of condensor, whether cooling coils and condensor coils are all brass; what is the thickness of those coils, etc. etc. Most Rotary Compressors fails or reduce in poerformance in 45 degree heat after initial 1-2 years of service. That also has to kept in the back of the mind. On a side note, I am planning to install a Panasonic Split AC, 1.5T, 3 Star; all landed cost at 29K (with stabiliser); It is non inverter type. Will not be used daily and will be used just 5-7 days a month and that too for few hours, hence compromised from Hitachi.
-
The prices quoted to you are much on higher side. No need to go in for Inverter technology. A 5 star rated unit will be quite close to it and better cooling than it. Best Split AC at the moment is HITACHI. It is 5 Star Rated, 1.5T and will cost you 34K all landed and installed. Go for that for total peace of mind.

Yes, the quality of the headphones received was crap. Maybe some lot that was rejected by Samsung. Though the 16gb class 6 card was perfect, in which I was more interested.- 6,376 replies

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) - 4 star rating - Very gripping and superb acting by the lead actress (Rooney Mara). Immortals (2011) - 3.5 star - Very well edited, greek gods action film in the mold of 300 though not as good. Best part was a view of Frieda Pinto's A**.... now don't get me banned. War Horse (2011) - 3 Star Rating - Well made though a tad pretentious. Only animal lovers will like it (like me). The Grey (2012) - 3.5 Star - A dark grey movie. Liam Neeson is fantastic as always. Animal Lovers won't like this movie... lolz. Who would like a Wolf tearing your throat apart? Sherlock Holmes - A game of shadows (2011) - 3 Star Rating - Nicely edited but again quite pretentious. Predictable too, I would say which should never happen to a Sherlock Holmes movie but them when you have read all the books, what can the director do? Adventures of Tintin (2011) - BD Rip - Is a must have for all Tintin lovers like me. 5 star rating. Awaiting the sequel... Mission Impossible 4 Ghost protocol (2011) - BD Rip - Again a must have for your library - 3 star rating because Tom Cruise's age shows through but still some breathtaking sequences nonetheless. Now that's one lazy weekend viewing...

^^^ Really like Vicky Donor - 3.5 star rating - a nice comedy worth a watch; can take ur children (over 13) along if u want to give them free sex education; dont miss annu kapoor's acting and his english in dilli punjabi (chaddha style) accent... also the dadi was the best especially when she asks for the 32 gb iphone instead of the 16gb one... lolz Now need to to watch my favourite AVENGERS, but sadly its in Hindi only here in Meerut, and I really cannot tolerate the "mai tera khoon pee jaoonga" dubbing ishtyle... lolz
