@shubhanyu - Thanks mate, I was able to transfer files by bluetooth. Now only I need procedure to use ActiveSync and Rconnect by bluetooth. ActiveSync somehow did not connect. Some setting problem maybe. Now for update on the tower/call dropping problem - IT WAS IN FACT A RELIANCE PROBLEM. Since yesterday that problem has been fully solved itself. So no matter how geeky/techie we may become, we have no substitute if the service provider is letting you down. I was reaching different inferences about why that was happening when all along the problem was at Reliance's end, which they solved after I lodged a official complaint about towers not being proper at my residence. So go ahead hetal, make a even better ROM and we are here to lap it up...

If you have 6800, why are you posting in 6900 (Touch) forum. Kindly post in appropriate forum.

Another unique problem - After giving full ring to a reliance number, if he does not pick up, I am not getting the usual recorded message from reliance about the Caller not being available etc.. I only hear very light 3 beeps. Why? Is there some way we could also receive the message on 6800 as I am doing on my Nokia/other Reliance phones.

I made a unique observation. The problem of towers/call droppings etc. are there only on reboot/reset i.e. till the time we have not used the PPC. If we use the PPC for sometime and open and close some applications, the ROM gets going and the Tower and Call dropping problem disappears. Maybe it is due to the heaviness of the G ROM or maybe some settings inside it. Just an observation for all to work upon for the next ROM i.e. how to speed things up. @hetal - waiting for a new faster, speedier and also fully loaded ROM (contradictions galore, ha ha ha...)

@vijay - In G Rom - Programs-Nuetools-nuethreadedSMScontrol-Disable Threaded SMS. Dont know in original Sprint ROM. Kindly load nuetools from somewhere Also let me know, when you loaded Sprint 3.49 ROM, I presume you did not let it load Sprint Customisations (EXT ROM) and did reset, right?

Try in Settings-Phone-Services-Alert-Service Acquire and Lost Tone-disable
-
Vijay - what version of ROM and Radio are you using - 3.35 or 3.49? Kindly detail a small step by step method, or is it same as Anupe's 6900.
-
Good one Anupe. I was using Screen Capture software in G Rom and that was making a bitmap image and not jpg. I also uploaded as manage attachments. Maybe it is not showing due to it being bmp and not jpg. @rajat - for Rworld, after connecting with RelianceMobileWorld connection go to http://wap.rworld.co.in in internet explorer. That should take you to RWorld.

Its in the Techie Enclave. Entry by invitation only (if you are not already invited). Contact Arun, Device info in my device also shows same as yours.
-
@manuj - Yes you have to stand out to get GPS Lock. GPS is intended for while you are on the move and not for stationary use.
-
Good one Anupe! I think the same procedure may also work with 6800 if anybody wants to use the lighter Sprint ROM? Could you give a little step by step brief of what all you did, right from Flashing ROM etc.., so we may try it if we want on our 6800's also and BTW what site/procedure are you using to upload your screenshots so that they display immediately in your posts.
-
@hetal Anything coming out for 6800 also?
-
@vishal - There is definately something wrong in your ROM. Maybe it has not loaded properly or what. Or maybe you have not done the QPST settings properly as detailed in the Dummies Guide. Kindly read the first page of dummies guide carefully specially the part where GPS settings are done in the QPST software. All settings have to be exactly as detailed there. Because GPS works PERFECTLY in G Rom specially in Google Maps. Try doing these settings again and let us know...

Update on G Rom performance: 1. Alarm problem of 06.00 AM has disappeared after the reflashing 2. Ring Speed becomes faster if Magicall is disabled. 3. Registration code of Magicall needed @Anupe/others Check out my cool Customised Screen done by HTC Hom Customiser sshot000.bmp

^^^^ No my dear Pankaj, it can be done easily and we all are using these phones. Kalpak (kshah) is the best person to guide about Treo because he is using it on Reliance.
-
^^^ I think it is the same file and you can use it. Basic object is to write the 3.49 ROM and also to upgrade the radio. It has to be overwritten by the G Rom in any case. The link was working absolutely fine when I downloaded it. Try it again properly. The final file inside the rar file should read like - RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.49.651.0_RS_TITAN_3.39.10_SPCS_2.00_AM_PPST_Test.exe , let it be from any source.

It may be sober but its not better. Dal without the tadka (for diabetics)

The user Interface snapshots of Hetals G Rom have been posted by him in the G Rom Topic under HTC. You can have a look there. In fact it is much better than the Sprint original ROM. It has got HTC Home screen like that on the HTC Touch but with different fonts on the clock (which can be customised by the HTC Home Customiser free software). It has also got a fully customisable UI including iPod like Spb Mobile Shell 2.1.

@sanjeev No you dont have to source it from US. Our inhouse friend Sadik has imported them from US and we all are using them on both reliance as well as Tata. You can contact him to get a handset for yourself (approx. 17K). Once you contact him he will let you know all other details.
-
@rajat Right now I am on Hetal's G ROM with Hetal's EXT ROM and everything is working. RConnect, Rworld, GPS except for some issues which I have posted in the G ROM Topic

@hetal My humble donations sent. No words are there to express my gratitude to the work you are doing. Keep up the good work.
-
Why dont you all send some donations to him so that he will listen to you and also to us to make a clean basic ROM for Mogul with optional softwares attached in seperate cab files which one can load on one's own whim and fancy

I think some registry enteries are needed to Run the extended ROM from the Memory Card and not the loaded Sprint ROM. One bypass to this is that to reflash your phone with the Sprint ROM and after the screen comes to Tap Screen/set date etc., it says in 3 seconds extended rom will be loaded. Reset at that point to stop it from loading the Sprint extended ROM. After it restarts you could manually load hetals extended rom only, one by one. But please note that I have not tried this and you should confirm from hetal/karki if this will work. However if it does not work you could always go back to what you have done earlier and restore your phone.

Is there some software by which we can set mp3's as Alarm Tone in Windows Mobile devices, like we can do in Nokia? Right now I think we can only set mp3 as ringtones not alarm tones.
-
First try using it on a software like Google Maps. If it works fine then there may be some problems with destinator. Also read the topic started by Ashok Karkera regarding the Enabling GPS. There are many Registry entries he has explained which might need to be changed. My GPS on 6800 is working just fine, but I had to first stand in open place to get the sattelite links. I regularly get 5-7 sattelites which keep on tracking. But when I go indoors they do disappear/diminish.
